Having to run to the trading post vendor everytime you buy an item for crafting is beyond tedious.

It would be very nice to remove this vendor from cities and allow us to pick up items directly from our inventory.

As a quicker fix…it would be nice to give crafting vendors the ability to allow us to pick up goods (or put more trading post vendors in more locations).

I agree with this. As well as allowing us to craft directly from our “collectibles”, rather than having to pull the mats into our bags.

I imagine it’s to prevent people from buying things in ridiculous bulk etc etc… the tedious trip will prevent people from doing this.

You can craft from your collectibles now you just can’t use them for discovery right now unless its in your inventory.

But then how would Anet sell the instant TP vendors in the gem shop?

That is odd. When I pulled up the Weaponsmithing station (for instance), it shows that I have no materials to make anything. However, if I then pull up my collectibles and move over the mats into my inventory, only then do I see the little “numbers” appear next to the craftables.

I’m kind of curious why purchases in the BLTC don’t just delivered by mail directly to you? (Sorry, did I miss someone suggesting this?) If that happened, it would really eliminate the need for Trading Post NPCs.

That’s a very good suggestion!
If mail is such a promoted way of getting rewards and allows for sending items between players, why not expand on that idea ? Why not have access to TP anywhere “using mail” ? Everything from ordering through to delivery would be done via mail, just like some home delivery catalogue of sorts.

Taking cues from other games, you could put say.. a 30 minute delay on delivery time for anything bought on the BLTC. Have a “cash out” button for your profits, so you can get your BLTC sales profits mailed directly to you even if you are out on the world (and even assign a 30 minute delay to this as well).

I really think it could be a great game improvement.

Hey DaveK, are you not able to craft directly out of your bank now? I’ve been doing it for several days. It works great except for discovery, then you have to actually have the items in your bags.

It’s already in game to be able to have a trading post vendor wherever you want, with the item you get from chests or buy from BLTC.

And they seam to be dropping the trading post BLTC item more frequently too. In all honesty they are not that far away. Get a nice speedboost to help cut down your travel time.

I am fine with the status quo. The Crafting from the bank was needed due to it is required for every crafting trip.

This is not needed so much as you can get your supplies before hand (do smarter trading with buy/sell orders) and then go on a crafting beige because they are all in the bank.
