So after salvaging 1500 level 80 fine armor, I’ve got:
-656 blue (common) Essence of Luck
-128 green (uncommon) EoL
-11 yellow (rare) EoL

It boosted me from 35% MF to 67%

I know it doesn’t matter what salvage kit you use, but since I don’t have an infinite one, I used mystic kits for convenience reasons.
Why no greens? ’cause they have that “are you sure want to salvage” window (or maybe anet removed that already?), it would be a pain in the A to salvage all of them. Plus they are more expensive xD

Thanks for posting your results; however, you may as well have salvaged greens along with those since the pop-up confirmation window has been removed as of this patch.

I’ve been using crude kits for fines. Work fine.

What I’m particularly interested to know is if salvaging Ectos gives a higher chance for rarer Essences than blues/greens.

Sure Ectos do.

After salvaging 87 Ectos yesterday, got 4 exotic Essences, 11 Rares and other minors.

Ectos average around 106-110 luck per salvage (based on my own 87 ecto salvage, and someone on reddit salvaging 250)
From Gery result blue items average about 4.7 per salvage.

I’ve salvaged about 4000 green items and they give more than blue but i didn’t record my results.

Ecto>Green>Blues for luck items. Well did not take long for all of the blue/greens to disappear from TP. They are holding at double the price since patch. Still curious why would people put up the blues/greens at a non profitable price. TP an item 1 copper higher than the sell value will make you lose money.

I think I noticed something odd while I was salvaging blues / greens last night that I didn’t expect.

I initially started salvaging them with Basic kits and noticed that I didn’t get any of the upgrades from the greens. Once I ran out of Basic kits, I started using Crude kits and started receiving some of the runes / sigils.

Did they change the functionality of the Basic kit so that it doesn’t strip upgrades like the unlimited version? If so, it might actually be better to use Crude kits. At least you’d get mats, upgrades AND Essence of Luck.

TP can be used as an slightly ineffective merchant golem when you got full inventory. At least that was the case before this path. Now days, I wouldn’t leave town without a backup 250 salvage kit.

Results of salvaging lvl 70-80 greens. Not sure about the numbers : used 2633 and 2632 salvage charges but this includes golds. Would say I salvaged 2550 greens on each account.

—> 52 gold
—> 719 green
—> 2992 blue
=77470 luck

account B
—> 19 exo
—> 61 golds
—> 735 green
—> 2880 blue
= 75450 luck.

Conclusion : each green lvl70-80 item rewards around 30 luck points.
vs 9.4 luck points/blue according to your results.

For those with mad amounts of EoL to use up: just to note that you can refine/upgrade them as an Artificer so you don’t need to click so many times to use them all up

Its because some people dont even know about sales tax or listing fees.
I stopped salvaging my ites now and put them on the tp for 5-15 silver.
They sell quite frequently.
