I just got this from the forge and saw that it sells for over 5g, it’s a level 30 green ring with +15 vitality and a Lapis nugget in the gem slot. Why is it so expensive for such a low level item? Would somebody really pay over 5g for this?

Seriously though, there are a ton of items like these on the TP. People list it in the hope that someone doesn’t notice the price. They say it’s not scamming because they paid the listing fee, and you can see the price when you buy it. I still call it scamming, as you’re tricking someone in the hope he/she doesn’t look at the price properly , makes a mistake and presses “buy now” in the assumption that the item will be priced in the same price range as all other items they (quickly) buy as they level up.

To me, that’s not scamming at all. All information is presented. There is nothing hidden. It’s taking advantage of an opportunity if someone wants to give you an opportunity to take advantage of.

Also, I doubt it ever works.

I don’t think it’s a matter of tricking someone. It’s a matter of the buyer being stupid.

I accidentally listed a lvl 76 white dagger for 5g some months ago and it sold before I even noticed 3 days after.

Ppl are able to surprise me again and again. ^.^

There are tons of items like that in tp but wow, 5g really is something else i must say
