Royal Terrace - Daily Activity
It’s always been missing so it’s always been a portal trip to Lion’s Arch, now Vigil Keep. It’s not a “new” inconvenience.

The inconvenience was there from the first release of the royal pass.
However new buyers could possibly assume from the airship pass that the Daily & Black lion NPC is also at the Royal Pass while its not there.
Its just a PSA for people buying the Royal Pass today to tell what they are buying.
Well the Black Lion NPC is a free waypoint away in DR. I’ve always thought that by packing those few extra NPCs on the airship was a mistake. Both the airship and terrace should have been identical.

The Black Lion Weapon NPC is free to teleport to … but still its a convenience item, not a variable cost minimizing scheme.
I agree those 2 extra NPC’s on the airship is a mistake, both the airship and terrace should be identical in terms of NPC’s

I think they added a skill trainer, which wasn’t there until the airship came out, but didn’t add a daily activity NPC. So they probably never will.
I also read here that the gate to Lion’s Arch is bugged, meaning it actually sends you to Lion’s Arch instead of Gendarran Fields.
So as a personal biased wrapup:
Royal Terrace
- Has a shorter/easier way from crafting stations to Black Lion trader
- Looks nicer
Havoc’s Heir airship
- Has daily activity NPC
- Doesn’t look that well on the inside but has a beautiful view/outlook
As my character is a human with noble background, it would be appropiate to “return home” to do crafting and trading. I’m still not sure though. But I doubt they’ll put the airship on sale tomorrow or the day after.

They said they will fix the LA portal with the next patch though…

I need this functionality the most(because i’m a frequent daily completer), I thought it has the same npc functionality with the airship before purchase, and bought it for 1000 gems, because i missed the airship one.
And it didn’t even help me reach the activity npc easily. I feel really bad for that purchase. Please arenanet, make royal terrace and airship have the same npc availability.
Or, I want to return the item please, and wait for the airship re-sale.

If you weel bad about it, just ask for a refund from customer support.

Friend Phoebe Ascension also mentionned another advantage of Terrace over Airship:
Terrace being in Divinity’s Reach you have free wp and near instant loading opportunity of going into your Home instance for your one per day node attending. So you don’t have to park any alt in front of it, and can keep them parked at JP chests or better nodes or what ever.
Whereas Airship users always will either have to park one in front of home instance OR pay the wp cost to get to one of the cities.
It is really a minor thing. Me, I don’t give a dolyak’s calf about it (I’m an airship user).
To me as a non-programming knowledge player (so forgive me if I am wrong).
It seem to me that it is just a minor thing to do, when fixing the way point just add the two NPC’s there and be done with it.
From an economic perspective I really don’t get why you would want to differentiate between the passes. It only devalues the convenience.
Would be great if daily activity npc would be added to it

I do hope so <3

The Airship has a portal that will take you to the home cities. It’s on the main (top) deck I think (only been there once with a 1-use pass).

No it doesn’t, i have the perma passes of both. The airship doesn’t have the portal, terrace does.
The airship doesn’t have an actual asura gate – but talking to the helmsman NPC serves the same purpose as the terrace’s gate, i.e. free travel to any racial city.

Yep, just like Buford says above, talk to the helmsman.
