Rune Speculation?
If there was a list it wouldn’t be a speculation. People are assuming the next “meta” runes from what we know so far, which isn’t much.
I think superior rune of the eagle will be good after patch

How many stacks do you have?
In all seriousness, it’s highly likely that every rune jumps in price immediately after the patch, before people decide what is good and bad and prices settle. Even though prices have already risen on all runes, I’m still bullish, though my guess is that there will be a ton of competition placing bid orders.
I have 0.02 stacks of them, so 5 runes
I’ll laugh if Rune of the Undead turns out well. Lowest rune to Highest… :P

keep in mind some runes and sigills can be crafted, so those are unlikely to explode

Like Water, which might be the new meta boon duration rune.
I believe Superior Rune of the Sunless will be the new best rune, just to annoy WvWers.
I noticed in the twitch chat during the Ready Up that each time they showed a specific example of a rune/sigil change, the highlighted item reportedly spiked and sold like hotcakes so the twitch watchers were leaping on that to make money. While saner chatters kept cautioning that these were only examples and all runes/sigils were likely to get changes in desirability, that didn’t stop the reflex market action.

lol well in all honesty it is a nice bunker type condi rune. With the updates it could very well become the condi meta rune. Depending on what else they change to it.
I think runes of strength/eagle/ogre/water/rage will all be in a good place base on what we know from the pvp live stream and the stats shown on eagle and strength already.
Scholar runes being the meta atm… they will more than likely be leveled out and all the other pure dmg runes(eagle/strength/ogre/etc) brought up to be on par with scholar and thus allowing more of a variety in rune choices instead of being forced to take scholar to have the best pure dmg output in pve.
Thats all just my best guess..
What im really interested in seeing is if they do something to level out and bring back the leather/wood market… guess well see…
Asura Ele- Sir Im afraid youre short. Why is it always short jokes. No, youre short on the bill.

Undead is a solid cond runeset. It’s not cheap because it’s bad. It’s cheap because the mats to make them are cheap.

Yeah, I know. I run a nightmare/undead set. I’m not really that into the absolutes of fine tweaking, I work along the lines of: it works for me so that’ll do type of thing.
I’d just be amused to watch the 1% try and buy them all.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Under the new rune system players will only need buy 1 rune to get all 6 bonus effects.
Currently players after buy 6 of each rune.
So in theory rune prices should plummet because of less demand.
Sigils should rise in price because you now can equip 2 in a 2h, so demand should nearly double, resulting in higher prices.

nope – thats only in pvp (1 rune only)
its still posible to mix match runes in pve but they trie to make the higher rune bonus good enough so everyone wanna have a full set

Not unless I read the blog post wrong or misunderstood the before/after pics. They are tweaking runes to encourage players to equip more of the same rather than mixing by making the additional copies of the same rune add even more bonus than before.
One of our main considerations with this balance pass was encouraging players to use one whole rune set, rather than mixing and matching one or two from several different sets.
Seems opposite than what you just said.

One rune? Dude, that’s only in PvP, where runes and sigils are free anyway.
In PvE it remains the same, i.e. you need 6 runes for the 6 piece bonus. Or 7 if you count the aqua breather.
Are you all sure its PvP only?
Watched ready up and I never noticed them saying its pvp only, admittedly I did fast forward through a lot of boring bits…
Oh yep your right, just checked Dulfys notes:-
•Runes in PvP are now a single item (i.e. you can only use one rune now). One rune will have all six bonuses (basically no more mix-match)
Ok, my bad then…
