Saffron Trading Opportunity
Explain exactly why the cakes are OP and I might believe that you aren’t just trying to get the market to move.
It’s just a saffron slurper. I hope they make something like this for leather squares one day.
I think the trading opportunity was last week -

I bought 4 stacks when it was selling at 39c (~90s per stack) and was worried that it was already peaking, forgot about it for a day and a half and when I next logged on it was up over 2s, cue frantic selling and a big grin
It’s on about 1s big and 1s30c sell at the moment, unless the price of the dragon cake rises to meet the cost of the saffron and white-cake then I can’t really see it moving much, supply-issue or not.
On the other hand this is the first time I’ve ever made any money from speculating so I’m hardly an expert !
This Dragon’s Revelry Starcake is so OP it’s not even funny.
I’m not sure where you got this from.
I feel like the largest food drain, or at least the one which dictates price the most, is WvW.
In this environment, the Starcake is not even the strongest food, never mind strongest relative to cost. Both Lemongrass Poultry Soup and Saffron Bread are both still more powerful in the current environment.
Can we stop considering sell orders as supply already.
Sell orders are not supply.

In terms of the TP they are. They’re the items players are willing to part with and have already transferred to the market for holding. Yes there may be lots more sitting in players personal inventory or bank but since they aren’t for sale, it’s not really supply.
It’s like De Beers and diamonds. Sure diamonds aren’t as rare as they are made out to be, it’s just the supply for sale is tightly controlled.

Wow thanks for the tip. Since before that recipe I’ve had saffron coming out my ears.
