Q:
Should we be allow to tp gemstone stuff
I don’t see why not since some stuff like mini packs or dye packs can be tp after opening them.
Why do you believe such feature is needed, specially because you can buy gems with gold and then buy the needed item from gem shop?
So people who missed an event can still buy it.
It would be nice to be able to sell stuff from black lion chests we don’t want, such as any of the various boosters or tonics. People who don’t PvP don’t want glory boosters and those who don’t get the chests don’t always have access to tonics for the costume brawl daily.

So should those same items if bought directly from the Gem store also be available for TP? Cause you can’t have it both ways. In which case it ends up floating the Gold for Gems rate via proxy instead of strictly controlling it with the exchange.

I would rather have free market than going through Anet black box rate.
Because it contradicts Anets business model of micro transactions.
Whatever is gained through the gem store by RNG, favours gem purchases with cash, as soon as they make it tradable on the TP, they have to deal with a surplus of unwanted supply making these items less desirable and devaluating their product.
Gem store items that are obtainable at a fixed price, like mini packs for example, are useless on the TP because they have a fixed rate of gold through the gold->gem conversion.

I guess it would then show that anet’s gem store prices are way too high on a lot of items?
I remember a thread a while ago where someone was complaining that all the boosters and other stuff many people don’t really want should be removed from the BLC. And I also remember many people saying they shouldn’t because they felt like they would like to have them.
I think making them tradable would go a long way to show the true value of items like those. Obviously, anet would never do it because of the reasons you stated. But, if you feel like the items would be devalued, that means they just aren’t really wanted in the first place and they are way overpriced.
There are probably a lot more people who don’t use boosters than do. Those that do can buy them directly off the Gem Shop. So they buy say experience boosters at 5 for 550 gems or about $7 or 36.19g if they convert gold to gems. If they allowed players who don’t use boosters that get them as rewards or RNG from the chests to sell them on the open market they most certainly won’t be going for 7.2g a piece. The price would plummet and those who use the boosters would never, ever buy them from the Gem Shop again. That’s revenue out of ArenaNet’s pocket. Why would they do that then?

You can already sell a couple of items that you buy with gems. Minis are a big one. People buy the 3 pack sets with gems and then sell the ones they don’t want on the TP. I’ve also gotten a mini 3 pack from the chests, opened it and sold the minis. You can also indirectly buy weapon tickets from the BL chests from other players. I’ve gotten 2 tickets so far. I sold the first weapon skin I got with a ticket for about 50 gold. I could have sold the second one for about 70 gold. I consider that similar to selling tickets as people are getting the use of a ticket without buying gems. If you can do this, why not other things from the BL chests?

No and here is why:
BLT chests (mmmm… sandwiches…) and all other gemstore items are already available for pure gold through the gem exchange. This buy/sell split is able to be controlled and easily monitored (by players and far more importantly by devs). If all the items are moved to the standard AH they would lose that control (devs have zero market control on the buy/sell split of say… mithril ore).
While this is merely “problematic” for things like the infinite harvesting tools, where it really comes down is on the chests.
Things like the elixers, boosts, etc are great “filler” items on the chest’s loot tables. They are of varying worth depending on who gets them (a glory booster is personally worthless as I’ve never sPVPed, however to some in my guild they are a godsend). They work well to give the chests a nice random value. By moving these filler items to the standard AH, those like me with “worthless” sPVP boosters will be able to sell my stock to people like my guildies who really want them. My “filler” is their “reason to buy”.
So rather than selling one key to me in the hopes of getting a rare PVE skin, and a key to my friend in the hopes of getting another glory booster… they sell one to me and I market my booster.

That depends on how you value the items. If I like, say, XP boosters enough to buy them, and I get one out of a daily reward, or something, then, hey, I’ve just saved the cash value on that booster. If I like them, but not enough to buy them, I’ve still gotten a valuable freebie. If I get a Glory Booster, but don’t play PvP, then either I’m encouraged to try PvP, or, at worst, I destroy it and I’m no worse off than I was before getting the booster.
Now, if I’m suddenly able to sell my boosters, the gem store market for boosters most likely collapses, especially for less popular ones like WXP and PvP. Anet loses value in their gem store offerings, and I lose value on every booster I pick up that I intended to use, since it’s no longer worth $1.34, but instead some most likely minimal amount of silver. Those rare bonuses are now about as exciting as selling a Masterwork item, or a maybe a cheap Rare.
Whether I look at it as Anet being greedy with booster costs, or especially generous with boosters I get for free (at least for ones I’m going to use,) it’s pretty clear that if they were going to be sellable on the TP, Anet would need a way to maintain their value in the gem store, which would mean drastically reducing their drop rates. Even then, the value would crash because of all the people who have held onto their boosters, and then suddenly dump them on the TP.
So that’s how I feel about boosters. For style items and services, the bigger question is: Why would anyone buy them for gems, then sell them for gold? Most of the time, you’re going to lose money both from the gold->gems conversion fee and the TP fee, so your only real financial incentive is if you stock up on, say, Mad King outfits during Halloween and sell them at a higher price when they’re out of season. We already have some amount of that, in a more complex form, via the Black Lion Weapons Specialist, but is this really behavior we want to expand upon?
