Sigil of Agony
So I got my hands on some superior sigils of agony through some random chance and that made me really happy, remembering they were 1+ gold. When I tried to sell them on the TP I noticed they were beneath 20 silver. I thought I was delusional for not noticing the change. So I look it up on gw2spidy and I noticed that on the 4th of September the price dropped from 1 gold to 20 silver. Could someone please tell me what happened and caused this price drop?

Pretty much all the sigils dropped in price when the update came around, mostly from people salvaging ans selling the sigils I would think. Otherwise, not too sure what the reason is.
Oddly found that sigils and runes went down, most mats and such went up.
Duty is heavier than death.
People are breaking down Exotics by the truckload for Globs of Dark Matter. Likewise, prices for mats went up because of people crafting Ascended mats who need lots of lower tier mats.
why truckloads?
you need 10 globs of dark matter per exotic. you can get that much from like 5 exotics on average. Maybe someone might want 2 ascended weapons for all 8 of their alts, that’s just 80 exotics. barely more than a bank tab.

why truckloads?
you need 10 globs of dark matter per exotic. you can get that much from like 5 exotics on average. Maybe someone might want 2 ascended weapons for all 8 of their alts, that’s just 80 exotics. barely more than a bank tab.
Wait what? 5 exotics on average? I think I salvaged like 40 exotics after the patch with BLSK and got 8 dark matters

I ditched my agony for bursting. No longer have 100% bleed duration (90%) but I pack more punch.

Did I just get lucky? I thought I salvaged like 9 exotics and now I’m sitting on 17 Dark Matter. I even did select exotics and made a profit on top of the DM. I saw these as a non-issue. what’s the drop rate?

No idea, honestly. I’m not going for Ascended weapons for a while, but I salvaged an Exotic trinket that dropped from an invasion with a BLSK and got 0 Dark Matter.
