After opening thousands of Coffers I’m left with 50 Mini Risen Knights in my inventory. With their huge oversupply they are worthless, and serve almost no purpose. Why not make a special recipe to obtain something for dropping 4 of them into Mystic Forge? This method worked great for Mini Pigs in GW1, where you could turn them into Celestial Mini. I understand that leaving them work the usual way in MF crashed the mini market for a moment but at least give us a method to get rid of them in a reasonable (and profitable) way.

Use one to make a mini colossus, keep one for yourself and then sell the rest. I don’t see your problem here. You make a profit no matter what unless you are buying the coffers for the purpose of selling mini knights.

The price is doing as it is expected to do.

Normally when new content is released there is a segment of the population that has to have the new shiny NOW. These people drive the price up rapidly. In a day or two the price will fall and the item will establish at normal price.

This is the reason I sold all my mini’s at 1g50s or above as soon as I got them yesterday. I encouraged all my guild members to sell and wait for the price to drop and rebuy.

Understanding basic human behavior can help when you are looking at how an items price fluctuates over time. The mini will continue to drop in price until near the end of the patch, jump in price suddenly, refall back down, then slowly climb in price as long as the item is not made available again.

I think I have 4 mostly from trying to finish ‘So Lifelike’.

Yeah I think I might buy some up too. I’ve been using the coffers to make money. Way point for 1.5 silver to go get 2-5 coffers and sell for 5s each. Takes about 2 minutes to make an easy 15 silver. Once the coffers drop to like 2s then I’ll start to open them

I know they are. I didn’t say to sell mini-colossus. I’m saying to sell your stack of mini knights because there will be lots of people wanting to make their own colossus.

Solution implies there is a problem (which there isn’t)
Not every mini needs to be really rare and valuable but despite that, once the event is through and the ways of getting the pet become rarer the price will increase.

I finally got 1 after opening 70-odd Coffers for Zhaitaffy and Fireworks. I’m now selling the rest of my Coffers so I don’t believe I’ll get any more.

How come they jumped in price. They we only 15s before the patch and look to be rising?

That spike drove the price from 17 or so and peaked out at more than 65 silver. SO they did jump in price.

basically someone foolishly bought a lot in a short window of time. (and lost a lot of money, or overpaid).
