Going from 3-4 rares an hour pre-nerf to 1 rare in 5 hours post-nerf even with 150% magic find seems like a complete joke to me.

I’m not sure if this is intended as some form of bot combatting (which would be completely irrelevant now) or some other ploy to adjust the market, but CS is turning completely dry of anything other than material sacks and blues/greens. Not counting the fact that the supposed change the Champions so they “always drop loot” isn’t true either – I’ve seen multiple champions continue to drop nothing. The change which also applies to Veteran mobs also continues to not matter, because they’re not dropping rares anyway.

I’m not sure how the plan to reduce the cost of legendaries has made legendaries more expensive than ever. First the materials market, and now the ecto market. This is completely insane – pretty much the only money making venture in the game any more is to spam Fractal ad naseum, because every other source of income has been tanked into the ground.

Please tell me current rare drop rates in Orr are a glitch, and will be fixed.

Yeah, they said “rares and exotics” have increased in drop rate on vets… that was a crock of something when it actually comes down to killing vets….

The whole fractals instance nerfed crap for farmers. Anet seems to want to punish anyone who farms.

I’m sorry but this is nothing new…with almost 150% Magic Find pre-November 15th on my Ranger I was getting nothing, I was clearing whole zones and getting 2-5 blues and greens…I stopped wearing magic find gear and that increased to 15-20 blues/greens an hour. There was suppossed to be some sort of bug related to magic find and condition damage whereby mobs dying from DoTs didn’t calculate magic find properly on death (it’s on the forums somewhere), but now it’s even worse?!?

I spent over an hour last night in Frostgorge Sound killing Veterans and Champion Ice Trolls and they drop the same worthless junk as normal mobs. I killed the Champion Ice Troll 5 times with 3 of us kiting it and killing everything else at the same time, and while my friend was getting the lvl400 crafting mats with no MF gear, I was getting the 300/325 lower level junk with almost 150% MF gear…so seriously, what’s the point in Magic Find? It doesn’t work properly, and with the current drop rates it seems like ArenaNet are punishing hard work and instead letting people rely on chance and luck for anything decent..which is just unfair.

Am seriously considering going back to WoW, at least there the mechanics are consistant and they don’t punish people for grinding the mats they need for high level crafting.
