A long time back there was a thread about this and a developer said they are looking into it.
Nothing has changed, runes and sigils from dungeons are still soulbound.
Yesterday i got an exotic from fractals from a normal mob on jade level, after salvaging i received a soulbound rune, which is totally useless for my guardian and worth a bit of cash on the tp.

Can we please get clarification if this gets changed?
Otherwise i can just vendor this stuff and donĀ“t waste my bag and bank space

workaround: put the rune/sigil on a white item, put in in bank, take it out with the character you want it on, salvage with blsk

I tend to save the ones that pile up, then huck them in the mystic forge for something that’s not soul-bound. Not so great though if you get something you actually want or that has value

I do what cassie does for major runes and sigils, but you can’t do that with superior!

Yeah…. I wish we could huck Superior runes into the forge… slot machine pull for a better superior rune….. I think it would both increase the value of less desired runes (they’d get bought up for forge hucking) and decrease the value of highly desired runes (increasing supply.)

I see both of those as being good things, the opinions of others may vary.

Kinda jaded on this subject since it feels like something that should just be, but for some warped reason it is not, but these superior sigils/runes really need to be not soulbound/tossable into the forge. Other parts of the game function as such, why is this specifically made to be this way. Extremely frustrating.

When ground-targetted bone minion explosions become a thing, I will change this signature.- 2013

It’d be nice if they were account bound, but not everything is meant to be fodder for the trade post. Laurels for example…

on a side note, I just bought 10 stacks of superior sigils at 1c above their merchant value for the possibility that Anet will add a recipe to forge these.
If they don’t, I’m out 25s.
If they do, I’m in like 325g (625 rolls, median sigil value is around 60s, minus cost to buy them). Since I don’t need that 50g anytime soon, it’s not that bad of a investment in my opinion

I could just being saying this to drive up the price of cheapo sigils so I can offload these at 50% profit I’m not, but if I happen to see I can sell them at 50% profit, I probably will. investing isn’t the most exciting thing, and this is long-term, so I’d just place new buy orders at 1c above vendor price and they’ll probably eventually be filled.
runes seem to not be this low in price… only like 12 different sigils are even this low.

My hope is that the poorly valued sigils get reworked – shorter internal cooldowns or higher activation chances for the procs – things that don’t throw off the pattern of stat bonuses but would plet players reassess their usefullness…
