I remember a little over a year ago there was a period of several months where if you purchased gems through the gem store you would be given a small gift from ANET for your support. The example I can think of off the top of my head was the Wind Kite from the first time we met the Zephyrites.

I saw someone else brought this up a few days ago and have been wondering the same thing.

Why did ANET do it in the first place and why did they stop? Why can’t they bring it back and give gemstore items to players who purchase gems maybe once a month? Maybe make the item something cosmetic dealing with LW updates?

couple of weeks ago the TP offered something for free, once a day per account. its also gone. not complaining or anything, just saying that they don’t really seems to have a policy on such things.

Yeah, they definitely do give out little things here and there to reward players like free repair canisters or a experience booster. But I guess I was meaning something larger like they did before.

For example, when the Bazaar of the Four Winds came around everyone who had purchased gems in the last month got a free wind kite (which was a couple hundred gems). If we related it to this season of living world, when this last episode came out and they released the Pact airship to the gem store it would have been nice if people who had purchased gems in the last month had gotten that for free or something along those lines.

It’s just strange they did it before and it was a nice gift back to their supporters without really breaking the bank. It would be great (at least from my perspective) to see it return.

Yeah, more items like that would be awesome.

they also gave a BLTC key, which was nice <insert_meme_here>

maybe if they introduce an event similar in size to the wind festival something like that would return, but you can’t really tell.
