Sup with Ancient wood logs?
Requirement for ascended weapon
Wow, I should sell now then since I am in no hurry to get an ascended weapon
that’s the idea

The crap… I expected 3-4s…. 16s… WOW
I should have sold my supply instead of using it at that price… have people gone insane?
Essentially yes. They have a lot of gold and want to get the ascended gear. Just like Hells Avenger (I think) said the price of gems has also fallen as people use cash to get gold to buy16s Ancient logs.
My kudzu plans totally ruined now :o Ah well i have my ways of getting them without paying for them. Guess i’ll go that route.
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.
I got 37s about 10-12 hrs a go for mine, so i was pleased with that price
Asura – Desolation
Gotta say I was pretty happy that I’d for some unknown reason decided to store 199 logs in my collectables tab.. and also a bit wistful that I didn’t save up all the bits I’d been farming the past week or so when it seemed prices were good for sellers. :P
Unfortunately this price hike is making items like mystery tonics prohibitively expensive to craft too.
Endless Petrification Tonic
So glad I got them before the patch. Needed for Kudzu.

I would. I bet it is temporarily hyper inflated due to people racing to the top…
Its also needed for exotic inscriptions to get to 450, so thats making it spike a lot right now.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
Any idea why the wood (ancient and elder) spiked a lot more than the metal (ori and mithril) did?
EDIT: My guess would be people are bee-lining for weaponsmith stuff, but is there something else I’m missing?
…actually I have no idea because I thought everyone going nuts over greatswords would’ve driven metal up more…

In order to level these disciplines to 450, people need inscriptions, which are made from ancient wood as a primary ingredient. All of the weapon disciplines have this component. And the majority of artificer/huntsman recipes need wood as well, which is probably a secondary reason.

On top of all that, 3 log per plank, 2 ore per ingot.
I managed to sell one ingot of Deldrimor steel for 15 gold after launch. I think it was nice profit.
Last evening I sold 6 stacks of ori ingots and 3 stacks of ancient planks for 450g …
This was in less than an hour.
