Superior Sigils of Fire price plummet?
Everyone salvaging greens and playing with the mystic forge?
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
Nearly all sigils have fallen in price since ascended crafting came in. I think it has to do with everyone trying to salvage rares (rather than forging) in order to get essence of luck.
Extra rare sigils start to flood the market, pushing the price down. Furthermore, this makes it cheaper to forge more exotic sigils but that pushes the price down as well.

Everyone salvaged exotics when the patch hit for dark matter.. they all went down and are now rising back to where they were.
Sigil of Fire was plummeting long before ascended.
The reason is simple. Casuals take a while to catch up with the true pve meta. And they started realizing it’s an inferior sigil.

Rares dont give luck directly, only if you salvage the ectos that you get from them.
I think its a combination of mayor sigils flooding the market from salvages and being upgraded in the mystic forge and the steep rise of exotics being salvaged for dark matter.
Even though crafted exotics got very cheap due to the oversupply from craft leveling and were available for under 1G, it was still better to buy exotics with sigils on it that were worth something.
I expect prices for superior sigils and runes to go up again gradually.
I bought alot of them in the last 2 weeks to sell later on for profit.

Inferior sigil? I tend to disagree, depending on what you are going for in a build. What sigil do you prefer for AoE damage?
I’ll tell you the reason of the price drop: Combustion.
Made lots of gold salvaging those when champ boxes were introduced. $_$ Heh heh..

Well generally if I want AoE damage I run a weapon I can AoE with.
Bloodlust, Perception and Force sigils are much more reliable DPS boosts without relying on a random proc.

Bloodlust and Perception becomes obsolete, once you gained your 25 stacks and you ca nswitch it out for Fire.

…or force/accuracy.

Its because force is better than a proc which cant crit and has an ICD. Cant believe it took this long for people to realise how bad the sigil was.

Sounds like a few still havent realized it.

Agree with above, many sigils where high in price still like Sigil of Strength etc they stayed high in price because people still thought they where good. Now the Rune and Sigil market has been jumbled at bit and the better sigils are actually at a higher value(outside of the expensive to craft ones like perplexity etc.)
Sigil of force took a while to reach 1g it use to be low for a while same with accuracy(which is still a bit lower than it use to be)
Sigil of Rage(rofl) use to be one of the top sigil when the game came out because people with bad math thought it was good and people hopped on the bandwagon. I don’t know many people that would touch that sigil outside of some novelty build.

Superior Sigil of Force also comes with some of the weapons towards the end of the personal story. There probably would have been quite a few people getting them at around the same time.

The weapons you get at the end of the personal story are rare and contain a major sigil of force.
Sadly.

Sigil of Rage used to be twice as strong, I believe.

Not the end. Towards the end. I actually happen to be on my mesmer right now who is up to the lv75 “Estate of Decay”. She has a lv72 “Strong Avenger’s Staff of Force”, a masterwork Berserker’s staff with a Superior Sigil of Force.

I see what you are talking about now. Sad that the level 72 personal story reward is so much better than the reward for personal story completion.

Still good for its burstyness…can’t believe people haven’t realized it
It also works with a good amjority of the builds, while things like battle are great but only if you focus a bit on might stacking and boon duration.
