T6 materials are through the roof. Please help.
You get a bunch for making mystic clovers and what you dont get go and farm. I am able to farm about 5-10 an hour with just a food magic find buff a full set should increase that. You dont have to buy them.
Also prices will drop after the new content is out and the people who rush the new items have them.

You can farm them, with a confirmed % on drop rate that is not terrible.
If working for the legendary, you can get them from the mystic clover recipes.
You can just play the game, gather gold, buy some.
Why do people feel the need to complain? Some T6 mats were almost at vendor price. That was something to cry about. How at least you know you can make a profit out of them.
Prices will drop once those who bought XXX number of T6 mats for the new patch realise the recipes most likely won’t require them..or at least not all recipes (no clue so I’m presuming).
Stop crying and go kill mobs, you’ll see them drop.
They should give you a chance for more than one of any tier mat from a single mob. I don’t see why a huge drake only drops one scale or fang – or a troll gives one tiny vial of blood. Or they should buff the drop rate of bags from mobs.
That would help prices a lot.
Seems to me like you just want an easier legendary. And they’re making it easier yet prices are raising due to bot bans and you want bots just for the sake of making your legendary easier?
It’s was only “easier” for the guys that rushed and got their legendary early and bought mats at fire sale prices.
3g lodestones and 30s t6 mats isn’t “harder” – it’s just ridiculous.
Lodestones are another problem, not related to the market. They’re not farmed by many people because their drop rate is abysmal.
T6 materials are just fine, go out and farm them, then sell them for profit. You will probably buy them after the patch (and after revealing the mystic forge recipes) at half price anyway.

What are you talking about? t6 mats originally cost as much as they do now. Bots haven’t been running rampant since the game launched. What you’re seeing with mats is the normal price, before it was made easy by bots and before that it was what it is now.
Lodestones don’t cost 3g they are between 30s and 2.5g. Only 2 lodestones are above 2g in price and 2 lodestones are below 1g in price so by the same exaggerated argument I could say lodestones cost 20 silver (glacial, molten). Despite that, Charged lodestones have gone as low as 2g14s this week.
If you want them so badly, go farm them. People are making a fortune off of farming lodestones in the lyssa temple. Or just sit there and complain about how ANET should give you a legendary for free because you’re entitled to one.
Sincerely, someone who needs 90 more charged lodestones.
I do farm. I don’t understand why anyone would buy at those prices.
You have to love the current generation of mmo players, if something takes 20min to farm. They will won’t farm it, but instead spend 20min writing about how broken the system is and how they should just be hand feed everything.
Their the highest Tier mats, they should be hard to get.
In reference to legendary’s, I feel that they are fine, they are extremely hard to get, as a legendary item should be. They were intended to be a long term goal, a goal that takes months if not years to make.

It’s all about competition. Prices are only that high because people buy them for that high. If nobody bought them, prices would fall.
There are tons of people out there who want legendaries and are either more able to get gold, or more determined to get gold to afford these inflated items.
Actually, there is some evidence that the prices are being driven up artificially. Consider, for example, Armored Scales. Take a look at the supply chart: http://www.guildwarstrade.com/item/24289
Note supply drops as low as 15. I would argue that buying out that many armored scales at once goes beyond speculation into market manipulation.
One could argue that this was a reasonable response to the bot bannings. That is to say, perhaps someone anticipated that the price on these mats will rise, and hence bought them out hoping to capitalize on that.
Even if it is market manipulation, as I suspect, it doesn’t much matter for most people. In the end, the market will self-correct. So if you need t6 mats, just wait a bit; the price will come down. Market manipulation will really only ever be a problem with low volume (on supply an/or demand side) goods. For something like mats, I wouldn’t expect the prices to be out of whack for more than a day.
Don’t count on it. I have personally mainpulated the marked for up to 72h straight. All you need is a lot of startup gold (which you get from first farming then trading lower volumes…)
I’ve been doing it with lodestones and T6 mats before, it is definitely possible to maintain if you have 500-1000g and believe me, a few people have that kind of money now. Just remember it is a free market, people are entitled to play the market however they want (as long as they arent exploiting any bug – and other players being dumb/greedy surely can’t be considered an exploit.).

They’re also banning legitimate players with their botting crusade. One of my guildies just got the banhammer because he’s a quiet farmer. He doesn’t talk much and just zones out and ANET thought he was a bot and now he’s gone.
That kind of thing is what is driving up the prices even more.
This is one of the more interesting things I’ve since in an MMO. Bots, while annoying, are becoming missed…. Chat in LA on my server last night was all about how much they wanted to see the bots come back. The casual players who aren’t just farming 24/7 much preferred the cheaper prices of bots offered.

The casual players who aren’t farming 24/7 should be seeing the benefits of a “bot-less Tyria” when they sell any drops they get from “casual playing” and get more cash for those items.
Unfortunately, after posting a few links to the “Recent Market Shifts” sticky and gleefully spreading the news that ArenaNet has “….begun a renewed campaign against RMT and Bots,” I saw a train of about six bots running around my server last night.
It seems that the renewed campaign needs some more renewal — and yes, I know that sort of project is like one giant game of Whac-a-Mole.™ Get rid of them one place, they come back another, but I for one would like to see ArenaNet stay on top of the problem!

Right, that’s true in the long term. Their drops will now sell for more, but the things they’d like to buy cost more too…. at least things on the tp.
In the short term, people with a lot of mats in the bank gained a bunch of value practically overnight. People with few mats and a lot of gold lost value overnight. Gold is value is in it’s purchasing power, people don’t like to see their purchasing power diminished. Those people would really like the bots back. It makes for fairly humorous conversations in map chat.

Sometimes I forget that I’m a “long term player” and don’t think about the “play something new for a month and move on to the next” gamers. I’ve only been here a month or so myself, and while I don’t have a -lot- of gold in the bank, I suffered the same feeling from the practically overnight inflation.
“Great, now my cash is worth about half as much as before!”
Still, I can’t help but think that this new economy will be better in the long term, and that this is certainly how ArenaNet had planned the economy. If they’d wanted swarms of “scavenger bots” running across the landscape, providing cheap materials, they could have written them into the lore. “Perpetual Motion Self-Repairing Mining and Reclamation Devices” or something with a snappier acronym. Sounds like something the asura might do.
First people cry about bots. When bots are finally banned, people cry about not being able to buy cheap mats the bots had been farming in bulk.

3g lodestones and 30s t6 mats isn’t “harder” – it’s just ridiculous.
I didnt rush out and get a precursor early, i had to gamble at the forge for mine, finally got it two weeks ago, though it was Kudzu and not Lover, buy hey, I just made Kudzu instead (and I’m glad I did, rainbows are overrated)
After 750 hours in game, and 31 10x tries for clovers to get my 77, I found that I had all the t6 mats I needed except the blood and scales.
Because some people would rather buy the materials straight from TP then collect them themselves, the prices have risen, especially with the demand increasing with the extra chances at precursors added to the game.
You’ll also notice that now its easier (very slightly) to get a precursor yourself, TP precursor prices have dropped. Dusk is 150g less than it was a week ago.

I always considered bots to be a blessing in almost every single mmo’s i ever played.
In the other hand, traders are the plague.
GW2 is no exception.

Pretty much. If you stocked up the T5 mats like most did, then you will make a killing in profit. I would have even more gold if I didnt use my T5 to make 80 rares to toss into the forge. I’m just sad I didnt buy up the Ectos when they were 12s back at halloween.
I rode the wave well on T5 mats, but my bankroll was too small honestly. Plus I never thought I’d see Claws/Fangs over 1s and Blood over 3s.
T3 materials are just as bad, I had to postpone my Armorer trade today until the prices come down
And now thx to the new Ascended recipe T6 fang above of 20S and the other are up.
Seriulsy i dont know that arena.net economist are thinking, put all the new ascended recipes with T6 mats again, and furthemor 250!!
Too many T6 recipes with huge number and too little places to farm it and with a loooow drop, the demand is to high, and the prices are absourdly high.
They put ascend items becaue the exotic now are to easy to get, but now the T6 mats are too expensive to craft exotic armors, and thx to this the legendary prices now are prohibitibe, the fangs cost 40 copper 3 week ago, i know that this is too low but now 2X silver ??? The claws 1-2S to 7-10s , blood almost 30s, totems almost 20s, Scalls 20s.
There are too many recipes and little places to farm T6 mat to stop this huge demand and little offer, and the nerf of farm places, DR events etc.. dont help, and the awful yellow/exotic drop dont help.
Is sand but now the only way to get enough money is speculation ( buy fangs 250 2 weeks ago sell now win 80 gold , blood 70 gold etc..) ,, and our actual economy is a good example how bad is a economy based in speculation.
GW1 had a lot of grind, but always option for skins, but now with T6 mats the GW2 grind feel a “must grind”, i dont talking about legendaries or rare skins, im talking to craft Exotic items, or the new Ascended Items in the mystic forge what are no an option after seen the high lvl of Fractals.
I was playing GW1 since almost 8 years , and i grind a lot, i have my 30 titles, many FOW etc… but i grind for the skins and titles what i want, withour preosupre, but now in GW2 since the new vertical threadmille, the high T6 prices i just feel obligate to grind if i dont want stand behind before they put new Ascended armor or weapons, is a WoW dangerous feeling that i dont want in a GW game.
You don’t think the spike in demand might be short lived?
The content has jsut come out and everyone is like “ZOMGNEWTOYSMUSTHAVETHEMNOOOOOOOOW” – in a weeks time the initial rush will’ve gone through.
Also, powerful blood and armoured scale have had elevated prices for months; now theres a demand for fangs and the price has jumped up it’s a bad thing?
shrug
Personally I’m loving the new economy, lots more opportunities

It’ll most likely settle down. I think a lot of people want to come back to a game where they know the economy fairly well after 1-2 weeks, but the market is constantly going up and down and has been since the bot bannings.
With all these updates, the TP is very hard to predict and nothing is ever settled. These new recipes coupled with bot bannings have elevated prices like crazy. The market really needs time to settle IMO. Hopefully this happens in the coming weeks before Wintersday. And hopefully Wintersday doesn’t utilize these T6 craftables (or T5) and instead be more of an Ori/Awood/Gossamer sink with… probably Candy Cane Shards.
However, I do think that they should improve the drops on these in general though or at least more loot bags should drop. DR now that a lot of the bot problem is gone (some are still around) should also be reduced for people who actually want to farm.
