For example:
A friend and I place and order on the TBLC asking for 50 iron ores each, both at the same price.

That’s 100 iron ores on demand.

Then, someone wants to sell 50 iron ores at the price we are offering.

Where does the 50 ores go to? Do they divide by the amount of demand (my friend and I) or do they go to the person that place the order first?

I assume the person who placed the order first, hence the need to outbid.

I’m fairly certain when listed items are bought, or placed orders are filled, it is first come first served.

last in first out would be funny

It’s FIFO, but it used to be (by accident?) LIFO in beginning.

They can say “its FIFO” all they want. When I post a black lion chest with 210,000 units in front of me, and it sells within ten minutes and there are still around 210,000 units available I categorically DO NOT BELIEVE than 210,000 units sold and mysteriously the same number give-or-take less than a percent were reposted in less than 15 minutes.
