Q:
TP: So what's my final sale value?
A:
Slide rule. People complained that “Projected Profit”, which on the old interface showed what would be in you pickup tab, wasn’t really profit since it didn’t take the posting fee into account. Others complained that it wasn’t clear that the TP took 10% of the sale price as tax. So now they’ve catered to those people by listed both fees and simply let them figure what they want to see out on their own.
Of course this creates a new class of unhappy players who didn’t care about the previous issues but now are missing the pickup amount.

Lol…isn’t it possible to show all three? Or is that beyone BASIC?
I really can’t fathom the reason they don’t just show all three.
Ultimately, net profit is all that REALLY matters… to pretty much everyone selling something. What do I take home after all the fees…
Please, someone prove me wrong! I’d like to know in what universe you DON’T want to know what you take home from the sale.
They said that they felt it was important to see what the buyer is getting.
(Really, who can make this sort of explanation up)

We felt it was important when selling something to know exactly what price your buyer was going to see. The change also is the least cluttered way to address feedback we received previously about profit including / not including fees and wanting to be as clear as possible on the order of operations.
We’re balancing a lot of UX design against desire for more information with the new UI.. We’ll be watching to see what sort of confusion comes out of this and may or may not re-introduce a net profit display later.

I could see there being a good reason for wanting to see the buyer price… that way you know what amount you need to list it for if you want to undercut the next guy by just one copper…
But why does Anet think that means we don’t want to know what our net profit is?
Show me what I ACTUALLY GET FROM THE SALE.
(or put a Kitten calculator app in the new TP UI – that is a joke… please just give us the net profit display)
Every receipt in the real world shows all 3, I don’t play games to do math.
Where the hell is my profit? this is f*ing overcomplicated, previously i could see the price for the buyer AND my profit after taxes, is that so hard?
