Since yesterdays patch the TP is showing the incorrect pricing in the search results – i.e. it no longer shows the lowest price for an item.

I’m curious if this is intentional or a bug – it’s certainly resulting in some interesting price variations across weapons/armor.

It is possible a consquence in the fixing of the LIFO quantities bug but it just doesnt make sense that we get the incorrect “cheapest item” price returned in the search results.

It means that legitimate buyers have to click through on EVERY SINGLE ITEM to find out the “real” price which when youre looking for gear or weapon upgrades is just kitten frustrating. e.g. I had to go thorugh nearly 80 items to decide on some weapon items to try out.

While the tp needs a fix, incorrect information isn’t the way to do it.

I haven’t seen accurate results in the buy search window in a while. It has been out of date for weeks(always?). I have gotten used to clicking through to the buy screen and looking at the number for sale. It also sometimes shows non for sale, when there are many for sale, this makes sorting/filtering hard, if the none for sale filter even works now (didnt last week). Also, the refresh button doesn’t work for buy or buy orders. The only refresh you get is if you buy 1, or place a buy order. The number listed for sale in search is the number at the lowest offer, but if you open the buy order, then back to search it gives the total for sale. It’d be nice if the seller window had a second line showing total for sale, as well as number for sale at lowest price.

I actually noticed this bug before the most recent TP update, where an initial search would show a price far off from the actual current lowest offer. So yeah, doesn’t seem like this particular one is related to the update.

It also happens on the “opening” page of the trade post buy tab. The page that lists “most traded” and “most supplied” and that sort of stuff. That page looks like it is days out of date at this point. It’s not as big of a deal, but it’s still annoying.

http://i.imgur.com/AvbGz.jpg there are certain items being listed as 0 available, I made some predictions that were off because since the page defaulted to buy orders because there was a supposed 0 avaliability.

Edit: Decided to post this in here due to the reply of the dev saying that the incorrect listing was due to the maintenance and felt this was also an issue created during that time.

I lost 24 gold due to the 0 availability bug.

Didn’t particularly like the dev’s response which was basically – your fault for using the TP either. A oops, our bad! would have been nice.

How did you lose gold? If you mistakenly put multiple buy orders for the same item, you can either cancel the orders or sell the extra items. You will lose the sales tax if you have to resell them (if you don’t mark them up making a profit). I don’t see how that’s Anet’s fault. If there was an actual glitch that stole your money, I don’t think that’s what’s being discussed here nor have I read a dev post about that kind of glitch.

I think you have the dev quote backwards, he’s saying it was NOT a result of the patch but noticed at the same time.
