on behalf of all those people who kept asking for infinite gathering tools to be made account bound I would like to say thank you anet(saw enough of these in the suggestions forum). I personally never paid for any but I hope this pleases your customers and gets you a bit more money in the form of people being willing to buy more varied gathering tool looks for their different characters.

I will be purchasing more gems when I get home tonight. Good show ArenaNet, thank you for listening!

We recently started a second account for my wife. She only plays occasionally and now I can justify a set of tools for her too.

Yes, thank you for this. While I won’t be buying either of the currently available tools because they don’t suit my characters, if the previous ones return (or cool future ones appear) I will buy them because they are account bound now. I have avoided several purchases because of the soulbinding.

I actually don’t like this change.

I was going to buy them for every character any way, so now it’s going to cost me more gems :/ if they stuck at 800 then it would have been a good move.

I don’t really need the account-bound feature, so for me it was more a bad thing that new tools should now cost 1000 instead of 800 gems

I’m still not buying it. I’d buy it for 100 gems(10g @ current gem exchange), but 1000 ? No ty.

ANET could also sell account bound commander tag via BLTC, while making the existing one exchangeable for the account bound version just like the gathering tool…
