4 times the price since I last looked.

I really hope precursor creation comes in the next patch, because there are so few left, and their price just skyrocketed.

Not the point, genius. All precursors have skyrocketed, the bard was just an extreme example of price inflation.

Currency inflation has a bit to do with it, but the larger contributing factor most likely is speculators, now that news of legendaries being improved has been dropped. And the Bard was super cheap previously.

It figures this would happen. On Monday there was a discussion in LA about underwater legendaries which made me take a closer look at Frenzy and the price of Rage. I was never really interested in legends because of the price of precursors and the general effort involved (coupled with the fact that most legendaries aren’t THAT cool to me). But after having a closer look at Frenzy and deciding it was the one legend that might be cool enough to warrant the effort, and seeing the low price of Rage (it was less than the Corrupted Speargun >.>) I decided yesterday morning that I was going to take the plunge, buy Rage, and start working toward Frenzy on the back burner.

And of course, by the time I got into the game the news of the legend update coming had hit and prices skyrocketed. Because that’s just the way it has to go for me, lol. Its now 130g (when I checked last night) which may be a drop in the hat as far as general legendary prices, but firmly out of my budget.

Wow, the Rage is 130g now? Ridiculous.

I bought it for around 25g about a month ago.

Enjoying my Frenzy except for the fact that it is in need of some polishing. I hope that comes Tuesday.

I bought the Bard for 40g. Still not sure I’m going to make it into a Legendary.

(I’m about 100 Ori ore form finishing Infinite Light, so my Lodestones are spoken for )

I actually got the bard from the mystic toilet. Was throwing in my usual random yellows.

Anyway, they need to add that other way of creating precursors.

I’m somewhat of the mindset that the prices wont stay this high, especially for underwater weapon precursors.
Before this patch, no one wanted underwater legendaries. I doubt that a few more sparkles or schools of fish will make people want them more.

The bard might stay high, but I’m not sure. I bought it when it was 40g a week or so ago, but I’ve soulbound it to make the Minstrel in a few weeks. People complain about the Minstrel’s skin, not just it’s lack of effects, so I’m not sure that adding effects will make it more desirable and keep the precursor price “high”, especially with the possibility of a new focus legendary coming out “soon”.

I just checked the spidy and the price is at 130g, so it seems to be somewhat dropping. Guess we’ll see what happens when the patch lands on Tuesday.

Nope. John Smith already posted showing that all the precursors are being bought and sold by unique sellers.

Why do credulous types feel the need to see a conspiracy behind a question that can be answered with simple supply and demand? Is it so wild to believe that with the free bump to ascended, plus extra gold from invasion farm, that people might be going hard for legendaries? Is that so far out there that you need to invent a conspiracy theory as a more rational alternative?

Kotaki precursor went from ~35g to ~130g last time I checked.
Was considering going for it myself, but I guess I’ll just not.
