As a subscription free MMO I am more than willing to use the cash shop. Especially since Anet seems to have found the perfect balance of making it worthwhile without making it create an imbalance to those who choose not to use it. This being said it seems as though it is being somewhat neglected and could use some more additions in the cosmetics and services department. Does Anet have any plans of adding more to it or expanding it in anyway?

The moment they add something to the cashshop to create an imbalance, I’m going to immediately decide never to spend another dime on Game Cards from GameStop. I played Jade Dynasty for 3 years and was absolutely horrified the whole time at how the cashshop offered such a pay-to-win advantage over other players.

Personally, I’d love to see more fashions. I need more Town Fashions and replacement armor skins.

I would Like to see more town outfits, and some sexier skins myself. Personally I think that Anet is awesome, allowing a Lot of the things that sell on the gem store, to also drop in different ways and not just be gem store items. Transmute stones for map completions, for example…etc…

I think there are 2 things that different players will object to in a cash shop. Pay to win items being available for cash, is one. Another is… Cosmetic items ONLY being available from the gem store.

Since there is a market for gems that can be purchased with in-game gold, and … the items available for sale also drop or aquireable through in-game means… Anet threads the needle pretty well.

Me I am happy with the gem store. I just wish that the Bots would be eliminated. I read that Anet had cracked down on them recently. I hope they stay away.
