The "Error attempting to sell" thing.
Not a bug. It’s there for the only reason to prevent you from selling different items at a faster rate.
Just another annoying restriction. It’s been there since release.

Nope, a dev recently confirmed it is a bug and that they are fixing it “soonish.” I’ll edit with source in a minute.

Unfortunately, “soonish” could mean anything from next week to next year. The devs are infamous for delaying and forgetting about these things.

It’s not a bug. They implemented this to avoid some tp exploit and I do agree with them up to a certain point. The way they solved it’s annoying for the players.

You have to be really naive to believe this is a bug which has been in the game for almost two years. Especially in one of the most fine tuned aspects. The TP.
They gain nothing from fixing this one. Actually it is detrimental to them since it will allow the players to manipulate all their goods faster. Some people can’t be bothered to put less expensive stuff in the TP due to that “bug”. And they gold sink it by selling to a vendor.
Just because a dev said it’s a bug doesn’t make it true. It’s a really convenient restriction hid behind the illusion of a bug,

Or it could be said that the devs are not a hivemind and even though one dev might think it is a bug, he probably said that because he doesn’t know what the other devs might be thinking.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.

There are still a lot of bugs in the game from release. I think you have to be naive to think 2 years is somehow too long for Anet to leave a bug unfixed. It might take them until GW3 to fix it, but I seriously doubt it is an intended feature.

Can’t exactly trust devs words. Twice now we have received assurances from devs that recipes/item drop rates were not bugged and working as intended (Final Rest, Chaos of Lyssa).
And both times they were bugged.
It’s fairly easy to look at code and think it’s working as intended, just a low drop rate. then you realize you were off by 1 and it couldn’t actually drop. I know I’ve made code that looked beautiful, except I had a > instead of a <, so it didn’t work. point being that when they say something is working as intended, that might just be their default response to anyone saying rng is bugged. Then later they will look into it and find out that there actually was a bug.

Except they were not bugged. Depending on how you define a bug. They were working as coded and the code was working correctly. The calculations they used to specify the code were not optimal however.

I’d call Final Rest not being able to drop, at all, a bug.
“Not optimal”? Lol please what is this, a car engine?
PvP modes are the “endgame” in all MMOs.
Stop failing at PvE, and fix WvW/SPvP. Thank you.
If it is a bug, it should be fixed.
If it’s intentional, ANET should stop lying to us and change the message to one that says it’s intentional.
Well, I used to have this error a lot, but only after 1h~ of selling items. I could go do other things and be back for another 1h~ of selling.
BUT now I just get it after 30 seconds of selling, and being offline for 24h~ doesn’t fix it.
It may have something to do with the recent changes they did to TP (it loads a lot faster for many people).

You were fortunate then because I’ve always seen it after 30 seconds since I started Dec 2012.
RIP City of Heroes
nothing recent about it.
if you only saw this error once an hour, then you sell VERY slowly. maybe you’re on dialup?
