i manipulate the market a good bit now, i started 3 days ago, i gave myself 20s to my fund for attempting this, now at 4.5g in 3 days, and no farming was done, i was leveling a brand new alt for about maybe 1.5 hours a day max, probably less. i am a normal player who knows how to use the trading post to my advantage.i am very casual, and i dont like to farm. i would not be suprised if some rich tycoons are changing the precursors prices a little bit, but i doubt the precursors are getting hoarded by goldsellers, a normal player can farm and play the TP at the same time, simply by parking an alt in a town, by the trading post.it would not suprise me if goldsellers have a slight influence, but i do not think they control the market completely

power trading is not the same as manipulation.
power trading is lots of buying and selling for slight profits, but the quantity means they make huge daily incomes. It sounds like this is what you did
manipulation is when someone will spend 10,000 gold to buy every mystic coin on the market that’s listed under 50s, then relist them all for 50s, then buy any new ones that are listed cheaper than that so any potential buyers have to buy their 50s coins. if they’re able to accomplish this, they can make huge profits (20s to 4.5g may be a huge percent profit, but you’ll never be able to keep up that percent. if someone invests 10,000 gold and gets 50,000 gold out, that’s far more desirable a profit margin)
manipulators are beneficial to people who have a supply of that item (all of a sudden, you can sell your coins for 49s), but greatly hurt whoever needs that item.

In the past 3 weeks, I have had ~900g flow through my inventory, all without ever having more than 50g showing up in my inventory. Does this mean I manipulate the market? No, not unless you count using the market manipulating it. My power trading does not disrupt the flow of the trading post. I simply use the current prices to make my profiit.
