What do you think the market is going to put the value of superior siege compared to regular siege.

Right now upgrading regular siege to superior nets you 10 silver a skill point (buy ac/cat etc off the trading post for much cheaper than the vendor), think this is about right or are skill points not being valued enough?

I think the skill points should be valued more around 50s-1g each. They are easy to farm at low levels though, so that could be lower.

how :O?

i would buy a precursor with 50S per SP.

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

Personally I think it depends on the quantities that the market will provide. Many people barely know how to make superior, lol. And skillpoints will also run dry fast if everyone pump out superiors. Sure its easy to come buy, but it still take time.

I’ll be interested to see how this goes. I currently have around 9k badges and around 400 siege weapons from reward chests and random drops. I have a hard time believing they would sell. I use siege weapons myself, but I acquiring quicker than I can use them. As for commanders, guilds tend to fund these to their commander. I can’t really see guild members goingkittencommander I’m not going to give you my siege anymore. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it is profitable though. The 9k in badges could buy me anywhere between 90 and1500 depending on which siege I use and there are players getting around with tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of badges.

Skill points are easily obtained from fractals. 1 skill point = 35 fractal relics.

level 30+ runs net easily over 100 relics a run, not withstanding the XP (and thus levels) gained by running the fractals

I’ve noticed skill points valued at around 10s to 20s. if you ever find something that gives more than 20s, jump on it because it won’t last.

I’m confused. Why are people tossing pretty arbitrary value for skill points?

According to the market, I believe (I may be wrong) that Mystic Weapons are/were the most efficient in terms of skill point value (Dunno how siege weapons compare). And this method averages around 10s-15s per skill point?

So that’s your value of a skill point, roughly.

^ except that required 50 skill points at a time. Which is a significant barrier. Superior Siege requires ONE skill point per siege weapon.

Also if you flip a lot, lodestones could be more profitable at any given point. I’ve seen them returning up to 25S per SP in the last week. But it fluctuates a lot and frequently. So if you go for the maximum profit you might put your sell listing in too late and end up with lodestones sitting on the market for a couple of weeks.

This market has a long way to go before I think we can deduce much from it. Seems there is a more steady demand for them than I thought there would be. But I think people who are trying to sell these for more than 20s/SP right now are dreaming and risking having siege stuck on the market and not selling for a long time. I’m staying out of this one until I have more data. I don’t like speculation.

I’ve been able to flip lodestones on the market to value skill points up to ~30-40s each… Personally, I’d only value them at ~10-20s each (if they were able to be sold directly).

They’re just too easy to get. Plus, wouldn’t being able to buy them ruin the point in “leveling” beyond level 80? So I’d say their value is fine as it is at the moment (doing the siege upgrade method).

Back when silk was cheap and gossamer was expensive, you could get maybe 10~20s a skill point at times (buying silk on buy orders and selling gossamer on sell orders of course, fluctuates with luck and maret), but that was when relatively few people knew about converting materials with TP, and it still took decent monetary investment.

So I wouldn’t ever expect more than 20s a skill point so for larger investments of skillpoints/money. 10s for something small like upgrading siege seems about right to me.

^ except that required 50 skill points at a time. Which is a significant barrier. Superior Siege requires ONE skill point per siege weapon.

So low barrier > low gain. If 15s is decent at 50sp, then most surely 8-10s is decent at 1sp.

i usually get a ROI of 50-75s per skill point. I wont tell you how for obvious reasons but it doesnt involve an investment of alot of skill points or money.

Usually i invest 40% of the gold that i get in return once i sold the item.
