Tier 6 mats

Well I’ve heard that the reason the prices have risen recently is because Anet banned a huge amount of botters, which is depressing since I bought all the T6 I needed for my legendary last wednesday to play it safe, so if the prices do crash, then I will have essentially wasted a huge sum of gold.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
probably more interesting if price don’t drop.
I sold all my bones, blood, etc. and cashed in all my laurels, but I did it in order to buy the watchwork picks. Maybe prices will go down after the watchwork pick sale is over.
I was actually working towards Bolt earlier this year and had all my t6 mats.
But when the wardrobe went life and precursor prices went through the roof, i decided that its not worth it, so i sold my full stacks of t6 fine mats (except dust because i still need itfor ascended armor) when they spiked a couple of weeks after the wardrobe.
Personally, i also believe that they will also introduce new ways of acquiring t6 mats before they introduce precursor crafting or new legendaries, so i think their price will go down eventually.
Since then, i kept my all my t6 mats until yesterday, when i sold them. Whats interesting was that i actually got nearly twice as much bloods as other mats (disregarding dust, as i use it quite alot). I had 73 Vials of Powerful Blood while i had all other mats in their 30´s.
So the droprates of blood might actually have been buffed and the reason why its still the most expensive one is just its high demand.
Most of my drops came from wvw champ and loot bags, btw.

I too sold all my T6 mats before the patch because the prices were the highest since the game was released. Now some of them are going down. Apart from what Wanze said, another cause that might be helping to drive prices down a bit it’s that there’s lvl 80 inquest mobs in the map that drop Bag of Alchemical Materials which contain T6 mats.
Also JS said rencently that he was monitoring the prices of T6 mats.

@ Bag of Alchemical Materials
I tried to farm those, and like their counterparts in mount maelstrom, they’re not a common drop.

Hmm… For me, I have more Blood (about one-third again as much) than the other T6 mats too, but this is because I visit Southsun fairly frequently, and the Karka there drop Powerful Blood. It’s also why I have more Powerful Venom than the others, although not as much as Blood.
I’m still gonna hold on to my T6 mats – I got 3 stacks of each.
It’s not really an investment, but as a way to guarantee that I won’t overpay for T6 prices when new legendaries come around.
Of course new legendarys could use an entirely different set of mats. We have kakra shells, watchwork sprockets, and now amarite sheets as “T6.5” mats. One more and that will be enough for an entirely new gift.

True, but they would have to come out with a better drop source for those materials.
Those T6.5 mats can only come from one zone, and one of them isn’t even farmable.
There is always a risk that the new legendaries will have some completely different recipe structure, but the risk is certainly no where near the risk of current material prices skyrocketing on that particular patch day if there is no change.
