If you ever want to buy more than 250 of a single type of item, you can avoid having to type the quantity in several times by clicking “Place Order” several times in quick succession.

For example, to order 1000 mithril ore at 19c each, type in an order for 250 @ 19, and then click “Place Order” 4 times before it resets. It’s not guaranteed to work, but the worst that can occur is you accidentally place an extra order for 1 unit at vendor+1c, which you can simply cancel anyway.

Side note: I was going to use “happen” instead of “occur” in the above paragraph. I’ll let you work out why I had to change it.

They’re synonyms. The only reason I could think of is you wanted to give “P” a break.

Edited because I’m stupid.

The stupid kittening forum censorship software doesn’t care where words actually begin and end. If someone types a certain set of letters in a certain consecutive order, it gets changed to “kitten”, even if the first part of the “bad” word was at the end of hapPEN and IS doesn’t show up until the next word.

And the repeated “place order” clicking is also something I use on the custom bid screen to get an update in prices. I place orders for 1 unit at 1c to see the list update, and then once the price is favorable and I can actually place the order I wanted, I go and cancel my unfulfillable 1c buy orders. (So don’t worry, I’m not one of the people cluttering up the bid list with all the stupid below-vendor-price orders. Nor have I ever done anything stupid like order a bunch of account-bound items such as lemons.)

Why is a game that is not rated for kids, censoring us?

ESRB

Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older.

Wikipedia

The vast majority of countries set the age of majority at 18, but ages as low as 12 and as high as 21 also exist.

Most countries count 13-year-olds as kids, so this game is “rated for kids”. Also the company may choose to accept their moral responsibity knowing that an ESRB rating pratically does nothing to stop younger children from playing their games.

If you’re not careful you can order a lot more items than you intended.
