Torch precursor worth an investment?
I suggest you go for Storm instead. It’s only 50g more and the Meteorologicus skin right now looks OK. If they make any further changes it’s value will skyrocket.
Before the March patch we saw the buy orders go up to 200g (and the sell orders were 250-280). So right now we know the price is underpriced since there are buyers willing to pay more.
And unlike the torch precursor, many classes can actually use the sceptre (guards, eles and necros all use it reasonably)
disclaimer: I have two Storms in my bank and looking to buy a 3rd. April patch is soon and the price will go up shortly.

Thx Vol, I’ll consider your suggestion. At the moment the price of the sceptre precursor is just above my planed investement. Are there any states that Anet plans to change the Meteorologicus skin?
Arenanet hasn’t said anything about changing those skins, and if they did, the precursor wouldn’t be so cheap. But I think it’s obvious that they are going to upgrade these legendaries considering they did the other half back in February. I have a good feeling we’ll get it done before September.

I have the Torch legendary. You can hit me whenever if you want to see it ingame.
I think that if you are going to wait three months, then its a terible investment – if they haven’t made some announcements about progress on the precursor scavenget hunt in another 3 months they’re going to have not-at-all virtual torches and tridents surrounding their offices in the hands of an angry mob… and once there IS word of a precurrsor scavener hunter tangibly inbound, the market for them is going to implode.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

@Nike: Of course I think about scavenger hunt. But I doupt we’ll have any news soon. We’ll see… And who knows if the effort will be less than farming (cof, orr, dragons, …) some 100 gold? Of course it remains a risky investment…
