Trading Post Mark Up %
Up to you. It all depends on if the item is something that sells often, or if it’s a rare high priced item that moves slowly. If you mark something up, be prepared to be undercut, regardless of the amount. If you do +20%, +30%, or even +50%, I would just go -1 Copper, and I’m ahead.
20% over vendor is absolute minimum in my book and that gets you “even” to a very slight profit over selling directly to vendor. 20% over buy order gets you just outside of flipping margin.
Beyond that simply depends on what you are selling.

Blues and greens mostly, some yellows and exotics. Mostly just emptying champ boxes.
20% markup is only 2% after taxes…
20% markup is only 2% after taxes…
5% posting fee
10% sales fee
20% gives a 5% profit after taxes… at least in my math
I would say it depends on the items. Supply demand have a huge roll on my profit. Just ask yourself what it’s better? To sell 1 piece for 10g profit or to sell 10 pieces for 1g profit? Why?

No because buy price x 1.2 × 0.85 = 1.02 or 2%.

You correct.
Completely misunderstood terms used…
Break even, ignoring rounding of each fee/tax (minimum of one) is sell price = buy price/0.85. But I can do 20% in my head so that’s my guide for minimum sell over buy if I don’t want a calculator next to me when I do my TP thing.
