Trading Post greyed out
Not that this is particularly helpful, but I’m having exactly the same problem! Buy button always greyed, no items appearing the the sell panel, would love to know of a solution!
Adding my 2 copper here because this frustrates me. Yes, having the same problem, didn’t notice the buy button grey-out until I read this, sell tab thinks I own nothing sellable. The my transactions tab was also empty, but upon selecting a subset from the drop-down menu up top (items I’m selling, for example) populated the page properly. Able to pick up profits from successful posts with no problems..
Things that did not fix the issue: zone change(s) of any sort, switching characters.
Exiting to desktop and flipping through pictures of halloween costumes on imgur for an indeterminate amount of time (probably about 20 minutes) did fix it for me.
Iv’e been having this issue since beta. I thought it would be fixed by now. I tried reinstalling the game and that fixed it… Until I left and logged back in. Right back to showing nothing…
I’m having exactly the same problem, although I have bought on the TP (for the 1st time) recently. I’m stuck on low-level crafting & need to buy supplies: please fix this!
Yeah same thing here. Got a pic. I reported the bug in the in-game support then it seemed to fix itself later (from what I assume to be the staff).
Pic attached
I just logged out then ran GW2 using the ‘Run as administrator’ option & the problem was fixed. I’d done this before after looking in the support sections here but I thought once I did this one time it would always apply. It appears however that I have to do this every time I run GW2.
Hope this helps
So someone moved the thread out of tech support and into this forum but couldn’t be bothered to actually help any of us?
Some moderator said to go here for the answer. Me sell screen is blank and does not work. So I come here and no answer. Nice job moderator.
Y’all aren’t by any chance running Windows Vista, are you? Sounds like UAC is preventing the game from accessing through a different port once it is opened. I’ve heard the common fix is choosing run as admin when you launch the game. If that is working just change your user account settings to not use UAC (My computer in running 7 with training wheels turned off; I’ve never seen the problem firsthand). Next place to look would be ani-virus/firewall settings. This seems to only be affecting a small number of players so I doubt it is a bug in the actual game.
Those were the first things I did when I had this problem during the beta six months ago but thanks.
And if it was a problem on my end I don’t think running to gendarran fields and restarting the game would fix it while restarting the game in lion’s arch wouldn’t.
I have the solution!!!!! Press start, press run/type in search TEMP. Your temp folder should of opened, search for the file that starts with gw2 and delete it. Problem solved, you may log back into the game now and sell all your stuff to me. The end.
If this were an intermittent issue affecting the majority of players we could be correct thinking it is a-net, but from what I’ve been seeing in game and on the forums is it is a small group of players who consistently experience the issue while most of up just throw out suggestions because it never happened to us.
Ayeth.2039, that picture looks normal to me. What are you trying to show us?
I can sell/trade normally with many items, but not a Celestial Dye. I current have one and can not sell it.
I started having this problem maybe a month ago, but logging out and back in always fixed it.
I’m not sure about you all, but it also showed my gem amount as “. ..” whenever this would happen.
Last night the rather annoying relogging fix of mine ceased to work, and I ended up purchasing a wow subscription to fill my time. I sent in a ticket today, and I hope it gets fixed by staff soon.
I have this problem for a long time.
It seems to be some UI glitch, as when I have this I cant see the page to sell my itens and I cant get the mouse-over tooltip on the itens I want to buy.
Restarting the game always worked for me…
Try it, if doesnt work…
“Have you tried turning it off and on again?”
