Q:

When I post an item, there’s the selling fee – which the AH tells me it takes and it is taken when I post, but then when I actually get the money, especially if I post a bulk lot, the ACTUAL amount I get is less than it tells me I’ll get when I post it.

Is there ANOTHER fee that’s hidden and taken after the successful trade or is this another bug?
(I can’t search to see if this topic has been covered because the search bar is broken for me -.-)

There are two Trading Post fees, both paid by the seller; they total up to 15% of the total sales price.

A non-refundable listing fee of 5% (minimum 1c); this is paid when you post and is not returned if you remove the order.
A 10% tax on successful sales; this is deducted from the coin available when you pick up orders from the trading post.

This is what I like to call a hidden fee and just like IRL, most of us hate hidden fees. I am certain 90% of the player base is not aware of this fee. I didn’t realize it after selling hundreds of smaller items, it wasn’t until I sold something for 1.8g that I realized there was another fee.

They need to make this fee known, either show it on the list of things I sold or actually make the listing fee the listing and sale fee and then if we don’t sell the item and take it off they can return our sale fee.

It sucks having to do your own math even if it’s an easy 10% when you are trying to sell items.
