Guild Wars 2

I used the transmutation splitter on a exotic bow I no longer needed. In return I got this [Berserker’s Pearl Stinger][Fused Longbow]. I’m glad I got both of them back but the skin no longer has the “double click to apply this to a weapon” option. Not only that I cannot use a transmute stone to use the skin on a PvP item. Am I missing something or is all the money I put into black lion keys and the gem store wasted on this skin? Thanks in advance.

tldr: black lion weapon specialist skins cannot be converted again after transmutation splitter?

Found this on the wiki though, anet might want to elaborate how these splitters work when it comes to certain skins. Them being the rarest skins in the game, the normal functionality should be returned when it’s used with the splitter from the gem store? Seems logical to me..

Splitter makes one item into two items, not one item and a skin. You don’t get back the skin, but rather an item with the skin applied to it.
