I was wondering if the transmutation splitter causes the shattered wing cover skin to be soul bound or if it will stay account bound as it is before transmuting it to something?

In other words:

The shattered wing cover skin is account bound before applying it to anything. If I apply it to an item it will become soulbound with the item. But if i use the splitter to get the wing cover skin back, will the skin still be soulbound or will it be account bound again?

Well, My super scepter skin was account bound after i Used a transmutation splitter, that was 4 days ago though, and I can’t promise it will do the same with your wings. But I guess it may be worth a try.

i did transmute a fractal capacitor (infused) onto a white back strap to make the skin accountbound and then moved to another char. there i used the splitter and got the backstrap AND the infused capacitor back! the only thing that was lost, was the +5AR infusion for 75 relics..

this way should still work on any item..

with non-ascendant items i would recommend you transmute onto backstrap → move and transmute again onto exotic. thats cheaper then using a splitter..

at the moment, splitters are only worth using on ascendant/legendary items..

@OP: done exactly that. Had a fully glowing ascended fractal capacitor reskinned to shatterer wings on my mesmer. I transfered it to my ranger via crystal stone+splitter. Got the shatterer wings back along in the process and yes they are account bound again.

Well, they should be. They;re pretty kitten expensive for a single use.

So you lose the +5 ar/stat infusion when using the splitter? I"ve got he Shatterer wings on my back to but will probably be switching to the new Teq wings when they come out. Yet, I don’t want to lose my Shatterer skins either.

I can confirm that the shattered wings skin becomes account bound. I used a splitter on it the other day to switch it over to another character. Basically, it becomes a backpiece without any stats instead of a skin.

I wish all skins because account bound when using the splitter. I have some dragon skins I want to move but not lose.

Can someone confirm if the infusion +5ar/stats is deleted on splitter use?
