We know about the new wardrobe and skin system… But the SAB skins and other skins have no known ways of being created in the game anymore, and therefore are scarce. So?

Sell them? Keep them?

I think they will become more scarce when people bind/deposit them into their wardrobe. But the SAB skins are currently taking a dip in sale listing prices for the time being.

I also think that the skins being usable multiple times make them more attractive to some buyers, but we have to see how deep the reserves of these skins go before we notice the scarcity.

How do you think the current changes will affect scarce skins in the long run?

To be honest, not very much. The players who couldn’t afford the skins before still won’t be able to afford them, and those who want the skins and had the wealth to purchase it already have them. Any increase in demand would only come from fashionistas and completionists who now want to complete their Wardrobe, but I don’t think there are enough of these players to really cause a jump in the prices of rare skins.

On a related note, I wonder just how much money it would take to acquire every single skin in the Wardrobe… And if there’s anybody crazy/rich enough to attempt it. XD

I believe they release new SAB skins at each chapter. So, new SAB skins will be available, but not old ones.

All of the SAB skins have been available from the second release of World 2, you have a chance to get any of the blue ones from the ending chest in a zone.

Nope. You could only get the new skins from the end chests during the 2nd SAB iteration. The “first run” skins were not available from Moto nor from the stage end chests. Who knows what’ll happen when SAB 3 comes long now, since they’re out of weapon types to add now (unless they do underwater weapons). Whether they’ll do something else like armor or minis, start a second set of SAB weapons, or just bring back all the old ones.

I think there might be a little boost in interest in some skins like the SAB ones, mainly because buying one skin will let you put it on multiple characters. Some people might have passed on buying the skins due to the fact that they’d need to buy multiples to put them on multiple characters or to dual-wield them, and might see it as a better value now that they can buy one and create as many weapons as they want of that skin.

But yah, I don’t really expect a huge boost in interest.

I thought more about it last night and realised that, in order to complete the Wardrobe, you’d not only need to have been around for every single Living Story, you’d also need to:

1. Bought/made every single Legendary.
2. Crafted every single Ascended weapon.
3. Completed Tribulation Mode in SAB 16 times for EACH world. (19 if they also release underwater weapons in a subsequent release.)
3. Have been lucky enough to get every single Tequatl/Fractal weapon. (This relies on RNG basically treating you like a favoured grandchild…)

And then repeating the process for armor, and all the Town Clothes skins…

I think somebody rich/dedicated enough to actually complete their Wardrobe can be called ANet’s biggest fan, and possibly their single biggest funder! O.o

The green and yellow skins are coming back, every world will have a specific color for each skin (I believe world 3 is red and 4 is purple). Blue skins were available only for the original release of SAB (not sure if the chest will still drop them).

If they only make a title for it I’m fine… however if they make an achievement for it…

Well let’s just say that I might be the first one to fill my wardrobe, no matter the cost
