I’d gladly fork out more cash for these although I don’t think they should cost as much gems as the Mining Pick since the higher tiers of wood is not as valuable.

I could see it happening soon, probably the sickle too.

For a few months now we’ve asked Anet for permanent gathering tools. It’s nice to see they’ve heard us and responding by making an unbreakable mining pick. I’m sure with time, they’ll introduce unbreakable sickles and axes too, mining picks just made the most sense with the whole Flame and Frost event that’s going on.

I imagine that unbreakable sickles and axes will be introduced at some point in the future, now that the precedent has been set with picks. Maybe not with Flame & Frost, but sometime down the line certainly.

I’d expect to see both at some point in the future. If they’re smart they’ll space it out so that all their releases don’t end up competing against each other – putting it all out at once overloads people’s willingness to buy it all. They only get to do this once, really, so they’ll time the other tools for maximum impact.
