They really shouldn’t, since the pressure of “buy now or miss out for months/years” is part of the sale pitch for them. If you could buy them at any time people would maybe yeah ok, sure, at some point, I mean to, I ought to, maybe in another week, no hurry I can get them whenever, could be useful, could be a waste, crud, bought something else with my gems, all right finally I’m gonna buy one.
Next time they’re up for sale, think fast.

Glad i got now 5 full sets of them… Anet won’t be able to steal this luxury away from me anymore (by nerfing my main, then i must change to alt, wich doesn’t have them).

I’m sure that the unlimited gathering tools will be “back by popular demand!” now and again. They sell too well for ANet to shelve them permanently. :P

I’d like to see them become account-bound (and refund extra copies that people have). There’s no reason people should be put in a position where they want to shell out multiple gem purchases for the same item, just because they play many characters. I have one character that I play, but I know that many people play lots of characters and would like to have access to these expensive items on all of them. Perhaps an unlock of sorts that you can buy for your account, much like the finisher unlocks they have now.
