Guide: How to play a Mesmer in dungeons.
The original title is apparently too long, but should read “Unsold items should return to seller after x days.”
Items that are sitting way out of bounds of the current equilibrium prices are just dead weight and would be better off being returned to the seller after a certain period so they can re-enter the market.
Not sure how many days, though. I think 30 is a reasonable period that takes into account the time it may take to sell some expensive items.
it wouldn’t be fair to the seller considering he is charged 5% selling fee….
if the fee is returned than that should be ok…..
also the idea will destroy the market for most item since everyone will undercut each other to make sure their items are sold….

I won’t undercut ad infinitum… I’ll just salvage/vendor it rather than futz with yet anther tedious and annoying auction house system like every other MMO I’ve ever played.
Its no small part of the reason this economy thrives that I can toss my mats up for a bit above the current lowest sell offer… and then ignore it for hours, days or weeks until it sells.

Not true.
Meh. I prefer it the way it is. Dead weight is irrelevant unless it can be shown that it materially reduces the function of the TP.
I routinely put up items fairly significantly higher than current sell levels knowing they have a tendency to grind up to that level over time. I fire and forget and reap the benefits later on. Sometimes that may take a few weeks, but I don’t see it hurting anyone.
