On the 27 of june vital jute insignia sold for an average of 3.99 silver.
24 hours later they sell for >70 copper. Can someone explain the reason behind this sudden price drop, and will it ever revert.

The price didn’t drop, it corrected. The six plain jute insignias range in price from about 50-75c. It seems someone bought a LOT of vital insignia yesterday, causing a temporary shortage. Others started listing more for sale until the price dropped back to normal.

Supply floored. It went from 3,700-3,900 with 16,000 demand going for 60c to under 100 supply and peaked at nearly 15s. I suspect this triggered a lot of crafting and supply recovered while the price is now drifting back to where it was.

Why the rush on supply? Evil market manipulators? Someone having fun at the MF. Who knows. Only took 9 1/2 hours. I suspect a rumor here or another site about them.

And it’s July not June.

I’ll relate a funny story. I wanted to buy a lot of princes doll tonics. So I bought 250. Later I wanted more. It was a bit more expensive but I bought 250 more. Later I checked the price again. It was A LOT more expensive. Did I cause a bubble? Maybe it was a coincidence. Maybe other people started buying. It was right at July 16th.

Well there could be a lemming effect.

“The supply is dropping, there must be a reason, I have to get in on it before it’s too late.”

And as for the high peak price on the insignia, the supply may have been tapped so much that the ones left up for sale could have been posted the very first day or week of the game when nobody knew what to price something at.
