I am wondering about various different gold earning method. Let it be COF p1, TP flipping, world bosses, etc.

What do you consider is a good rate of gold earning per months while having some fun. Consider that you play 4 to 5 hours a day. Also, do take into account I am asking about normal amount of farming, not excessive 4 to 5 hours only COF p1 (that will bore most people to tears)

Just answer from your experience or what you see your friends can pull off.

A good amount is enough that you are still having fun playing the game but also have some spending money.

For me this works out to about 3g/hr from normal play

And an additional 20-30g/week from investments (on average, usually sold in big chunks).

Sure you can earn 6g/hr spam farming Cof, or 50g/hr staring at the TP. But if you aren’t having fun doing it then you should question your motives. If you do enjoy that then those are your two best options.

What do you define as normal play Zudet? I’m always curious about what people mean as normal play without defining what they are talking about.

I’ll be a little upset when they nerf dungeon runs, as I love to do quick CoF runs to earn a little cash every day. I really wanted to get some destroyer weapons, so about 3 days of multiple runs on 3 toons plus cashing in on 380k for orrian boxes earned me the cash i needed to craft a destroyer focus/sword/greatsword. I really hope they don’t nerf this element of farming.

While some people don’t enjoy farming, this kind of mindnumbing farming has a certain level of fun for me. I enjoy it! It’s a break from WvW, the money isn’t bad, and generally allows me two watch a movie or two. I really wish anet wasnt so crazed about nerfing all types of farming, as some of their players, I’m sure, actually enjoy it.

Me: spend about 2 hours once or twice per week playing the TP. spend the rest of the week playing the game and collecting profits from TP deals. I get about 100g per week from the TP (invest 300g, get 400g back after tax), then also whatever I get while playing – usually around 1-5g/hour, but I’m not picky as that isn’t my major form of income.

I can’t thumb this post up enough. These days I can generally put together a couple of gold a week just through normal play, but fortunately I’m picky enough about my skins that it’s still more than enough to keep me happy.
