What's driving spike in Sell Volumes?
In the patch didn’t they say they were going to fix the “DR bug” (which really wasn’t DR) where you don’t get loot credit from mobs even though you get exp credit?
Would figure that’ll mean more loot dropping across the board, lowering prices. Maybe people are dumping in anticipation of that (I did too several days ago, liquidated just about everything)

Do you know the date they announced this because the market seems to have internalized this news only within the last 2-3 days?
Ill explain.
Anet announces bot bans incoming. Anyone with 2 cents buys an kitten of t5 and t6 mats.
Bots get banned, mats reach an all time high. No end to the price increase in sight, people hold.
Patch incoming. No one believes the MF issue will be fixed but its a patch reguardles and thats when big time changes happen. Speculators get spooked and everyone follows suit and dumps masses of mats they have been holding.
Mats will decline in price. But never reach the lows they were at before. If and when Anet announce the scavenger hunt, mats will spike to new all time highs unless the drop rate is compensated for the mass amount of people who will believe a legendary is now within thier grasp.
Probably it’s much simpler than that. I think people are banking on flame and frost and/or guild missions to take place in the areas where said items drop, meaning a huge influx of those items, meaning a price drop.
On my server bloodshores is now crawling with a new herd of bots (that I’ve reported). I expect T3 and T4 mats to saturate.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

I was wondering the same thing. I assumed it was bots. Maybe not?
