Read what I said. A full exotics set in GW2 is not in any way equivalent to full BiS end-game HM raid gear in WoW if that’s what you had in mind.
As for the seven-fold increase, I’ll revisit your quote a year from now and we’ll see who was more real.
Exotic armor is, for right now, the best armor you can get. So what game are you talking about where $15 can buy you a full set of the best gear in game?

25 real money should get you 50 gold in game money thats the simple basic thing they could grant me for buying the real life gem cards but botted gold and farmed gold dictate the “trading”. its preety garbage and i hate it no way ever in a VIDEO games should one $ of my real life money get me only 1 gold of the vid money no way ever EVER EVER should it b like that .

It’s even sadder when people complain about having the choice (emphasis on “choice”) of spending real life money to get in-game items.

Except we already know that ascended armor is in the near future, and that it is to remain as the best armor. Exotic is just a place holderand was never planned to be best. Besides full exotic armor is only around 18g, or 30ishg if you include decent runes so gem prices would only have to increase by about 75% to meet that second number.
It is going to rise and unfortunate due to the considerable mistakes Anet has made the population has dropped off drastically. They are squeezing people now best they can cause it is going to get worse.

And your evidence for these statements would be what exactly? I have seen zero evidence that ArenaNet is manipulating gem prices, let alone the TP prices.
While I don’t see the game going F2P any time soon, I am able to predict a rise in the price of tinfoil hats…
The rise in gem prices is pretty much guaranteed though. As more gem items/events keep coming out and the average player gets richer, the demand for it will keep going up, so the price will too. It will probably plateau eventually, but that might take a while. Plus afaik it was like that in other games that allowed this sort of gold conversion, mostly because gems rise with the economy.
Speaking of gems to gold exchange….
100gems today is worth about what 66gems were yesterday, lol.
Seems a bit unlikely that in 24hrs gems would lose 1/3rd of there value.
read this order :
1. goldseller gold price= cheap
2. mathematically worth more gold per dollar as compare to gems-to-gold conversion
3. some (who don’t care about the ban risk) people who need gems purchase gold from goldseller
4. then they purchase the gems in huge bulk, creating short supply..
5. more demand for gems = price goes up……
….. so i blame goldseller/buyer for this.
when gems was at 70s per 100gems, i predicted it will go to 2.5 gold. well it already did. now, when looking at the it again i predict it will go to 4gold per 100 gems in 2 months

U know I always wonder what if u had 2000 gems and u quit playing. Does that mean the gem just gonna sit there and rot? I wonder does this have an effect on gem prices lets say 20k ppl had 1000 gems each just sitting there because they quit.
