Where to farm Linen now?

Have you tried the Queensdale Champ train?
Strange that they would address ‘that’ spot.. yet let the Champ trains continue unabated.
Have you tried champ training and opening the boxes on your lvl 40?

Won’t the champ train level me pretty quick though? Would prefer just random mobs that drop bags that can yield linen + salvage items + armor drops to grind on for longer.

No, I mean champ train on a lvl80, then take all the bags and open it on your lvl40.

Yep.
They had to SPAWN MORE OVERFLOWS!
Yea but I actually want to level it as well… and get more linen from the cloth armor drops. Just looking for mobs that were similar to “that” spot to grind on, but aren’t considered “exploiting” to kill.

I wonder if you can do enough damage to get credit for kills in the Frostgorge train? If you could, it’d probably be the best way to go since there’s no event experience to be had there.

Highly doubt it. The salvage items would be for silk/goss from that zone anyways though : /
Ideally I would like to know where there is a decently sized group lvl 48-60ish of humaniod mobs just out in open PvE that would drop the bags + salvage items that would yield linen.

If you open the champ bags with a lv40ish you should be getting gear for that level even from the frostgorge champs.
What sort of rate are you looking for?
x linen/hour?
Edit: Actually there is a problem with using an appropriate level character for this. You might be getting more correct level gear to salvage but you’ll be killing slower than a lv80 so you’ll be getting less of the other stuff.
[&BOgAAAA=]False Lake Waypoint has a decent amount of pirates in the right level range. Their bags might even give you a couple of doubloons.

There are some incredibly good spots to farm linen if you spend the time looking around. Yesterday I tested it out and got 150 ritual bags in 2 hours of casual play. I think it worked out to 6g/hour.
Personally for me, it’s not feasable since I can way more gold than that doing other stuff. But it’s great if you have a +lvl 50 character and want to level and get gold.
There are also other questionable linen farming techniques out there currently in use (not the recently hotfixed one). Could be borderline an exploit, but I don’t want to take a risk on it.
There is actualy a boss, an easy 1, that can get u a bag every 5-6 minutes (respawn time), which is actualy farmed by some syncro bots, u can just trow some traps with ranger and wait bots do the works (don’t know if u actualy can get punished for that, since this is not even a bug), it’s situated in Dredgehunt cliff (screen included).

Less than 10/hour sounds very slow.
U can actualy change the server after u kill 1, if those bots doesn’t beat u on it (for 3 bags every 5 minutes)
just go dungeon and than buy the linen

If what Vol says is true (and it’s likely, he’s a reputable source here) then farming his alt up will make him more money than the daily dungeon rotation (with the exception of an experienced, organised group used to one another) AND will level a character in the process.

The best place I’ve found for linen is the caves around flamefrog waypoint in Sparkfly fen. The medium thorn bags and garment fragment things they drop are good for linen & cotton.
I just need more silk >.< (Still kicking myself for turning my silk into gossamer)

Yeah.. when you open a loot bag, it gives loot of your level (sometimes of the champ’s level).
As for killing slower than a level 80 — not if you’re in a champ train.

That only applies to champ bags not regular bags dropped by normal mobs. Those regular bags have fixed loot tables.
Champs are good for the guaranteed bag and a high chance getting coin from those bags but not as good for materials from a particular range. Then again has anyone tried farming champs in a more appropriate map for these like Timberline Falls? There are at least 5 champs there not including the one in the JP for obvious reasons. One is part of an event but the rest aren’t. Unfortunately the proximately to WPs isn’t all that great.

Was the 150 from Fireheart rise (if you don’t mind saying)?

Thanks I’ll give that spot a whirl

Yea I’m just looking for something to both level my character and give linen at the same time at a good rate.

Woah. O.o I never knew there was a Champion Ram in that spot! Now I’ll have to go looking for him, just to find him. XD I love finding hidden, out of the way locations and NPCs/enemies.
