White Coral Ring?
There are a bunch of low level items like that.
But why? Is it because of people who like to collect random rare junk items? The price of this item was high even way before collections were announced.
That’s very strange. There is a fair amount of demand for this item, 300 plus buy orders.
http://www.gw2tp.com/item/23094-white-coral-ring I wouldn’t think a statless ring would have any sort of demand for it.

i havent seen it myself yet, but i think its statless because you can choose the stats most likely, so it would be pretty valuable, considering the stats could be the triple stat comboes.
Just checked, you cannot choose any stats on it.
I also checked if it appears in the Jeweler recipe discovery tab. Nothing.
Don’t underestimate the buying power of role players.
Indeed, most likely interesting for RP:ers.

How so I wonder? Unless they ping it no one else will know they have it. I wouldn’t think there would be 300 plus role players in game whose story includes a white coral ring.
Maybe role players are the answer. It just seems odd that it would have such a high price for something that’s barely cosmetic.
I would think this is less about RPing than collecting (tho those 2 things often go together).
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances

I would assume people might use it for gifts or as wedding rings or something. It is not unusual for people to pay silly amounts for completely useless stuff in-games just in order to make certain things more special or something like that ^^

That would make sense.
I don’t role play and it’s hard for me to think of why role players might want something like this.

I remember a time when Sam was useless and worth 10 Gold…
A guildie of mine bought Sam just to link it in chat whenever he wnated to get another guildie’s attention, who’s name irl is Sam.

Anyone else thinking this might be another case of insider trading?

How is this insider trading? You have no idea what you are talking about but hey, lets blame insider trading without proof.
On topic:
The White Coral Ring, just like the Blue Coral Ring, which is of fine rarity and available for about 30s on the TP, are, as already mentioned, statless and you cant even choose stats on them.
However, after equipping them, they dont get bound to you, so you can sell them on the tp again.
The Purple Coral Ring (masterwork) gets bound upon equip.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
GW1 had a lot of players who spent lots of money buying/selling items with unusual skins, rare combos, or just rare drops that otherwise were entirely sub-par in actual play. Stands to reason there are a fair number of those wealthy collector types running around here, as well. Perhaps some of it is also speculation. Who knows what some of those useless junk items might be used for down the road…and how much they’ll shoot up in price? Remember heavy bags of coins from BLCs?
