Why are gathering tools like the Bone Pick or the Consortium harvesting sickle soulbound and not account bound? If I wanted to delete my character, I’d lose my precious tools (2400 gems). The salvage machine was account bound, so why not the harvesting tools?

Because the value of NEVER BUYING A TOOL AGAIN on your entire account is a lot more than 800 gems?

And comparing it to that piece of [redacted for the children] junk that is the salvage o’ matic is a comparison I NEVER want Anet to make. The tools are actually a money maker over time. The ‘pay every time you pull the handle for the lowest grade salvage proc there is’ machine is just stupid in my book.

And if you’re afraid of deleting your character… think about it for a minute before equipping a permanent tool to them.
