When I set a custom buy offer, I’m shown a list of the lowest sales and at what price they’re going.

When I set a custom sell offer I’m only shown the current lowest seller.

This can obviously be circumvented by placing a buy order first, then cancelling out, then placing an informed sell order. But it’s a pain. Since this is already doable there’s no point in not having it.

Why do I want this? Well, obviously to make more informed sales placements. It might also help inform the vendor price +1 crowd that there are sensible price ranges above suicidal levels.

Yeah, I don’t see any reason why the sell interface can’t basically be the same as the one for buying, where you can choose between selling at the current highest bid, the current lowest ask, or a custom price which you can choose after seeing a list of current offers. I get that the interface is a bit more constrained due to the fact that it shows a column of your inventory when you go to sell something, but presumably they could get rid of the text for that and just show the icons with mouseover text like they do so many other places.

This needs to happen. It would really help deter undercutters from chopping whole silvers off the prices of things.
