Spent entire GW2 life savings buying them up as a good investment planning it out based on the date, then then they extend it almost two weeks flooding the market and killing the prices on the TP and adding months of waiting til many of us can resell the items — really complete and utter garbage.

ANET needs to stick to the dates they set and stop screwing people who play by the rules and try to earn gold fairly.

Could it be because there were more than a couple of homes without power over the event time on the US east coast?

Extending event times to allow people affected by a natural disaster to take part too is not a bad thing.

The BLC are already a complete waste of gold as is…. with this most recent mistake they made extending the time these items appear they only make these chests look even more useless…

Ive opened around 3000(atleast)chests just for the hell of it, and i can say 100% that its not worth even buying 1 key. Anet doesnt think these things through… ill never buy another chest again and soon they will realize this one choice they made will stop players like me buying(which for sure 1% of players open 90% of chests)

So basicaly ANET shot them selves in the foot, no one like me will ever take these chests serious again, and avoid buying keys…

just FYI 80% of the items i got from chests i had to destroy because they dont stack up…

i buy 3000 keys because i made alot of gold, but i HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! DO NOT BUY BLC ITS A RIPOFF!!

You’re aware that BLC’s were just one small part of the event?

:edit:

FYI I agree with you though, I don’t see keys as being a good purchase.

If you want them then use your alt slots to do the lower level personal story quests which give them as a reward.

It would be nice if it was like you said .Only the rich have a chance to buy up all the rare skins and force the other 99% of the players to slave a way all day. So one day they can buy a over price skin from us make us even richer . But its not! Thumb down to Anet they want the other 99% of players to have fun as well whats wrong with them .

I am in no way “forced” to grind for a purely cosmetic item. It gives no advantage whatsoever, why would I be forced to pay for it?

If I wanted one I would have bothered with the event – all I did was the first part where you get half a book, as well as a little bit of costume brawling.
