Why does the Skin Sets Say Account Based?

The item not account based, its “account bound”. Meaning that when you buy it, you can use it only on toons in your account. (this is what “account bound” stands for).
The number of uses is a different deal. Skins only have 1 use, so only 1 toon of your account can use it.
I’m guessing you are going to hate it even more when yo notice that if you want to re apply the skin to a new armor piece (say when you outgrow you current armor) you will need to use transmutation stones (also for sale on the TP!) to re use the skin that you bought…
Skins are a really bad deal in GW2, don’t buy them.
I don’t mind the whole 1 skin per toon, but paying more to re apply the skins is just wrong. When skins work like the HoM rewards, then I will shut up and Anet can have (more of) my money

it don’t always work either it says it’s good to go but nothing happens except it uses a transmutation stone
Ok, well I bought a 10 pack of Transmutation stones to go with it as well, but I won’t be buying anymore skins or anything else except maybe a character slot or two, they need to learn from D&D online or Star Trek online at least when an item says account bound it’s re-usable by other toons on the account, this is the biggest RAW deal since paying to watch the NFL on TV. Hear me Anet No MORE MONEY from ME!
dont buy transmutation stones, they come from map completion rewards too. i had 76 of them by the time i got 100% map completion.
start a new toon and 100% map complete your home city, you’ll get 5 for that alone
T-stones add up quick until you start working with level 80 gear. At that point you have to use Fine T-stones, which I have HEARD may come off some maps but i have only ever got the basic ones personally.
Another thing to remember when working with stones at 80, if you buy say, T2 culture gear but have runes etc on your 79 and below gear you want on your 80 stuff, blow a basic stone to merge these FIRST so that you then only have to use ONE fine T-stone to get the look and the rune on your 80 gear.

Yes, I was talking about level 80 “fine t stones” I myself have 5 Fine TS can’t remember if they came from a map completion or from a black lion chest.
Again If I’m buying a skin then I want to re apply it as I see fit . I’m Ok with it being locked for 1 toon only but the current format is kind of a slap in the face.
Trans stones should only be used if I find a rare skin via a drop/dungeon and want to use it with different stats, not for stuff I’m already paying for.
