They could. They could also use the expensive materials, like gossamer/ori, lodestones. They could also use skill points.

Heck, they could even use dungeon tokens.

I hope so. I have about a stack and a half of these useless (for me) things. Not even worth selling.

They seem like a good opportunity to eat up the t5 materials which nobody seems to want. They would provide a more long term outlet than the current(failed) attempt. t5/6 leather and silk is still pretty much worthless.

Knowing ANet they’d probably use stuff that’s already being used for a boatload of other things, like ectos or T6 dust or lodestones.
