The ways of obtaining it are so low for an item with that many uses. It’s the most useful crafting material out there and yet, the only way to obtain it is by opening moldy bags and from risen (very low chance on both). We need more of this item for transmuting low level materials (silk and mithril) and also to upgrade cores in lodestones. As it is now the cost of the dust is far more than the value of the gossamer you would get from it, same goes for orichalcum. Implementing T6 materials from Orr mobs was bad, because it diminished the odds of receiving cristalline dust.

Because if you do, they’re dirt cheap atm.

He almost certainly means Crystalline Dust, the T6 version.

Corrected in the first post, thank you for meking me notice it, anyway can we get an answer from the economist about it, because i don’t think it’s a luxury good (we’re not talking about precursors here), even though the price tripled in the last month and i think it has been caused by the Orr revamp patch.

More so the fact that t6 dust has more uses than its other t6 mat counterparts. So that right now, it’s not worth upgrading t5 into t6 (unless its just the dust).

He will…SHOCK the world! He is none other then…the SHOCKMASTER.

The price initially started rising due to the only ascended amulet being crafted via 750 piles.

Now it’s just.. silly. I don’t understand why it isn’t going down now, but as another poster said, T5 → T6 dust is a pretty good way to go. Or it was, now it’s kind of iffy.

I get these steadily in Orr, they add up nicely in bank.

They are used in lodestone promotion too. That’s the main way I end up using mine.
