Would You Entertain A Suggestion?
You can get keys from captain commendations now. Personally I would like to see all gem store items regardless of method obtained be not bound so that we can sell them on the TP. I’m sure there would be a lot of interest in things like the tonics that change you into creatures if we could sell them to others.
I thought about that too, with all the stuff I got in the bank.
But I doubt this will happen, because all this junk makes you buy more bank slots, which is a major source of income for Anet.
Always carries a towel – Never panics – Eats cookies.
I know how and where to get keys…. lol… It was just an example more than anything else… though the idea of un-binding items is appealing, I understand the anti-gold-farming reasons not to do that.
Our family has five accounts, I have MAX bank slots, 15 character slots, bought three accounts for friends to play, so the money side/supporting Anet is not an issue…
(we even started a guild just for more bank slot space, lol)
I was just putting it out there as a way for people to get more enjoyment out of the ‘BLT’ lottery….

Yeah, if we can’t sell them to players, it would be nice to have the ability to sell them back to the BLT, even if it’s for a drastically reduced rate (like 20%) of their regular gem value.
In fact, they might find people more willing to buy keys knowing that they can cash in the extra junk they get towards reducing the cost of their next key.
The only thing I generally want out of the chests are salvage kits and stones.
I think the easier thing to do would be to unbind the items to allow selling/giving them to others. The coin you get could be used to buy gems if you like or if the goal is the keys spent on the vender component to get the commendations. Not that your idea wasn’t a bad idea just a lot of coding to do compared to editing the bound variable value to false for all the items.
