With the recent gemstore update it seems Anet has silently increased the pre-sale price listing of the 10 and 25 stack transmutation charges from 270 gems to 300 gems and from 600 to 750 gems respectively. This means that the 30% off sale is only for the stack of 5 transmutation charges.

Unfortunately, while all other stack gem store items enjoy the anniversary sale discounts on top of their original bulk discounts, transmutation charges have no such luck.

I just wish they were upfront about this instead of the reply they gave me in a support ticket I sent which was that the original price is 750 gems (it has always been listed at 600 gems) and that it is a display bug on the gemstore.

Well that’s one way to cover your backside.

So if I bought them when they were 600gems for 25 it would have stolen 150 more from me? ‘Display bug’ my kitten .

No I expect prices will return to the original normal after the sale. It was simply easier to raise the price to match 30% off than figure out who paid too much. You were still getting a break on the price of 5 and 25, just not 30%.

welp this is getting sad anet needs to step and say this was a mistake. honestly august has been one mistake after another with these guys

What a shame. They must need money pretty bad to stoop to this kind of tactic. Bait-and-switch and now this. What next?

Not as much as bait and switch as lazy mistake followed by a lazy “fix it” by changing the pre-sale price. There is some minion who screwed up and when told to fix it and they decided to do what was easiest for them.
